After I woke up in a strange room that defiantly not mine, it took me a while to remember what exactly had happened and thinking back I really didn't know.

There was a light tap at the door and Matt walked in, holding a trey of food. He quietly set it down and sat on the edge of the bed " Are you Ok?"

I tried to sit up only to be pushed back down onto the bed by Matt, " Why wouldn't I be Ok?" I asked as I struggled to get back up again.

Matt gave me skeptical look "because you collapsed last night."

I winced at the memory of the whispers, I would have to ask Jacob if he knew anything about that, or better yet the Keeper. "What else happened last night?"

"Well the storm blew out the windows on the doors and then the rain must have messed with the electricity and the chandelier collapsed, some of the glass must have hit you."

I felt guilty about that but I couldn't apologise for it. That would lead to some really strange conversations.

After a puase a began to feel to feel uncomfortable, Matt was just staring at me. "So...you and Becka, thats great."

The soft smile that had been playing on Matt lips faded slowly "You know about that?"

"Yeah I trailed off, Matt who had looks so happy and carefree just a moment ago now looked downtrodden and quite sad.

After a moment of silence Matt got off of the bed after telling my clothes were on the stool and walked from the room, his feet dragging along the ground.

After Matt left I quickly dressed and began to look around the room, it unlike every other room in the manor felt lived in. There were papers on a desk in the corner and pictures on the wall.

There was a picture of two boys, they couldn't be more than thirteen both with big brown eyes and curly black hair that sat in masses on top of their heads.

Looking closer I could tell that one was Matt but I didn't know which, both boys were identical in every way except one had a few more freckles that the other but that was the only indicator that they were two different people.

After puzzling over the picture a moment longer I moved on to look at the desk. It had papers all over it, some were layouts of Calvary and some were world maps before and after the Judgment Day crisis.

The top drawer was slightly on pen and I pulled it out, inside there were files all with a name on them, I could see mine and Maia's. in fact it had the names of everybody in Exodus.

Curious I pulled out the file that had my name in it ad opened it. there was a picture of me and a list of every mission I had done for Exodus. but what caught my eye was the description of me in Matt untidy scrawl. it had one word in it. Amazing.

Flushing at the comment I quickly stuffed it back into the drawer and then I realised something else. There is only one person who lives here permanently. Matt, This room was far to well lived in to be a guest bedroom, it was his room. I could imagine the colour of red face had become.

Leaving the room I began to search the manor for other people but finding none I went into the meeting room to see all of them picking up glass and I instantly felt guilty all over again. Deciding to help I bent down to pick up some glass but cut my had on it. hissing in pain I stood up to get a bandage but when I looked down again the wound was slowly closing over and after a moment it was gone.

My internal warning system was going crazy, telling me that there was something very wrong going on. To prove I hadn't just imaged it, I slowly picked a stray piece of glass and pressed to the palm of my hand, it hurt like hell but just like a moment ago it started to heal, the cut closed over and it faded until it looked days old then disappeared completely.
