Chapter 39

We arrived at Dans family's house for tea, I tried my best to keep the ring covered until we were telling them, I was always aware of the fact that they could see it at any possible moment, i managed to keep it hidden until everyone had finished eating, that's when Dan stood up and made me stand as well
"Everyone, we have some news that we want to share with you, we are engaged" as dan said this I held up the ring on my finger, we were met with a chorus of congratulations. Afterwards we went next door to my mum (I can't remember which one stayed and which left, you could be visiting your dad but I think it is mum, idk) as we entered the door she noticed instantly the ring, although I was trying to hide it, as soon as we walked into the house she held up my hand and looked at us
"We're engaged" I said smiling at her, she pulled me and Dan into a hug
"It's about time" she said winking at dan making us both laugh. We stayed for a few hours with my mum, chatting, watching some strange show on the tv and playing a board game (monopoly boiiiiis 🤙🏼) before Dan and I had to leave. We drove home hand in hand and went to sleep happily as a family, tomorrow we are going to see my dad, and then, we can start planning the wedding.

Everyday is getting worse😔
