I spent the rest of the day walking around confidently, I waited outside of school for Dan so we could walk home together.
When I finally saw him, he was with Chris.
"DAN!" I shouted over too him while waving, he looked straight in my eyes before turning back to Chris, I started to walk towards him "Dan?" He looked at me with a look I never wanted to see again
"Get lost princess" he snapped, I felt a pain in my chest at his hostile tone
"What?"
"I said get lost princess, just go back to your castle and get your butler to cook you up some food you can binge on" I had tears forming in my eyes, I told Dan my binging story one night in the treehouse,
I used to binge eat food for comfort, I never put on weight so no one noticed, I would eat and eat and eat until I was physically sick, it was so difficult for me to get out of that unhealthy addiction and I told Dan in confidence,
The confidence I had was completely thrown away, I felt myself begin to crumble, but I held up my head and acted like I wasn't breaking
"How fucking dare you?"
"Listen princess, I know you've had a crush on me since that party you begged me to throw and you were dared to kiss me, you thought I had felt the same, well news flash princess, not everyone loves you, now leave me alone" Dans words finally broke me and I ran, the tears were streaming down my cheeks as I ran home. He knew how to break me, my fear of not being loved, the fear of nobody needing me, and me just getting in the way or people's nerve, never feeling good enough, everything I've told him at my weakest points he's used against me, and he's broken me.
