We walked out of the house hand in hand, there was a cute little car outside of which Dan held open the door for me to get in before walking around to the other side and getting in himself, when the driver asked where we were going Dan handed him a piece of paper with the location written on so I wouldn't be able to know, I looked over to him and he was already looking at me and smiling, I never imagined that this would be our life, but I wouldn't change it for the world.
We drove for around half an hour before pulling up in a car park in a place I haven't seen before, once we had gotten out of the car Dan placed his hands over my eyes
"I promise I won't let you fall" he whispered into my ear as we started walking, while walking I tripped a few times but Dan always caught me, in the midst of laughing over it, the walk was short and I could tell me had started to walk on grass half way through it
"I would have preferred to come here at night but I was too excited and wanted to come here now, plus we have already seen this at night but we haven't seen it during the day, I'm going to move my hands but I want you to keep your eyes shut"
"Okay, I can do that" I felt Dan move away from me and walk slightly forward, I felt him take my hands in his
"Open" when I opened my eyes I saw Dan on one knee in front of the most beautiful view ever, as I realised where we were Dan began to talk
"Y/n, for most of my life you have been my best friend, even in the time when I was the most stupid person to ever exist and stopped being your friend to, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me, you are the one who has made my life as good as it is, you are the reason I wake up in a morning and smile, you are always the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I think of when I fall asleep, I'm already the luckiest person alive by getting to call you my girlfriend and my best friend, and I can only think of one thing that could possibly make my life any better, y/n m/n l/n, will you marry me?"
"Yes, of course I'll marry you" I pulled Dan up and kissed him, as we pulled away we rested our heads against each other's and Dan slid the ring onto my finger, and we sat and looked out over the city until it was dark, in each others company on the best day ever.
I know it's been a while, I could apologise but I have been extremely busy and decided to do nano as well, just to add to the stress I already have and I'm so far behind that I don't think I'll finish but I tried.
