I bit my lip, blowing smoke out as I pulled the cigarette away from my lips.
"School started 15 minutes ago. Shouldn't you be at homerun?" A familiar voice asked.
"Shouldn't you be at some party, trying to drug a girl?" I asked, looking up.
"I couldn't stop thinking about the one that got away," Ryan smirked, spreading his arms. His left eye was slightly swollen, purple bruising all around it with a fresh cut.
"I've seen people like you before, you know," I said.
"Oh? And Did you like what you see?"
"I had pay admittance though."
Ryan laughed and I put the cigarette to my lips, breathing in.
"I can see why Caine chose you. You've got spunk," he said.
"Is your whole family a cactus or are you the only prick?" I asked, blowing out and flicking the ash away.
"Always with the insults Ryann! Can't we have a civilised conversation?"
"I was hoping for a battle of wits, but it seems you're unarmed," I grinned.
Ryan laughed again, dropping his arms.
"Caine really did have to have a strong grip on you, didn't he?" he asked, grinning at me.
I grinned, fear flooding through my veins.
"It's cute when you talk about things you don't understand."
"Stop playing games with me Ryann! I'm only here to apologise," he shrugged.
"Apologise for trying to drug and rape me?"
"If I remember correctly, I managed to drug you successfully. And I'm here to apologise for not finishing what I started," he grinned, taking a step closer. He said centimetres away from me, so close that I could see the flecks in his eyes.
"I'd tell you to go fuck yourself, but that would be a cruel and unusual punishment," I whispered.
He laughed. "You keep saying those smart comebacks for as long as you can Ryann, because when Caine is back home, you won't have anywhere to run."
"This is not Caine's home and he will never be welcome here. You hear me?" I hissed.
He smirked, brushing his finger over my cheek.
"That's not for you to decide," he whispered, taking the cigarette dangling between my lips. He put it to his lips, breathing in and blowing smoke in my face.
He laughed as my eyes widened, fear coursing through my veins and holding me in place.
"Get prepared Ryann. A storm is coming your way and he's pissed. Frankly, even I'm afraid," he laughed, dropping the cigarette and crushing it under his shoe.
He walked away, leaving me with a racing heart.
And fear that left tears on my cheeks.
