I am finally here.

As I am jumping up and down in joy in my mind, I push open the main doors to my school. I spot Bella and her mate, Adrian talking to each other. I approach them.

" Hey, guys! " Bella envelops me into a hug and I flinch slightly. " I forgot. I'm sorry Faye!" I brush it off with a smile. Adrian gives us a weird look before turning around to walk away.

"How bad is it? "

"Quite bad. "

" Will you be okay? "

" Yep, I will. Don't worry too much. I will see you later. " I reassured Bella and waved goodbye while beginning to walk towards my locker.

I grab my books from my locker and as I am shutting my locker door, I smile at the photos hanging on my locker door. They all came from celebrating my sweet sixteen at the beach. One of them was of me and Bella doing a silly pose while the other one is a group photo with all my other friends who planned a birthday surprise without me knowing. Apparently, this was how it went.

It was the weekend and Bella kept pestering me to accompany her to the beach because she wanted to get some 'fresh air'. We argued for a good hour about it.

" Faye, let's go to the beach today! "

" All of a sudden?"

" Yes because I am hella bored and I miss you!"

" We literally just saw each other yesterday. "

" But I want to spend time with my bestie today. "

" I am not the only friend you have. Go and ask your boyfriend to accompany you. I am busy today. "

" But he's not a girl. I want to spend some girl time with you! Plus we just argued which means we are not talking to each other. "

Then, I proceed to list the names of girlfriends she had other than me which lead to her saying this.

"Come on Faye, don't be a bummer and follow me to the beach. Aren't you going to do this much to be there for your bestie here? " Bella starts fake crying.

" Even though I want to accompany you, you know that I can't just leave the house. "

Bella kept begging and begging me to go with her which led to me saying.

" Fine, I will follow you but if I get caught for doing this, I will rat you out first. " I groaned and  Bella starts cheering on her side of the line.

Bella picked me up at our usual place and we drove to the beach from there. While driving, Bella kept talking about all the exciting things we were going to do that day.

When we arrived at the beach, she randomly took out a blindfold to blindfold me and led me to the surprise but me being me, I was clueless the entire time so when I took out my blindfold, I was shocked when my friends shouted 'surprise' and guess what happened next, I started crying because I didn't think anybody remembered my birthday, even I forgot about my own birthday.

That day, I made a lot of good memories with my friends even though it was only for a few hours. We ate, played some games and enjoyed the sunset.

My lips form a smile as I lightly brush against the photos as I recall all the memories we made that day. They are so precious to me.

I kept my smile as I made my way towards first period. I enter first period which is already filled with my classmates who are a year older than me. It is true that sometimes I feel intimidated because these people were older than me but I have learned to get used to it as time passed by.

As I try to sit down, I bite back the pain of my sore body. After slowly settling down, I place my books on the table and take out my notebook. The teacher enters the classroom and Adrian quickly takes his seat beside mine and I give him a small smile to hide the pain despite the soreness of my cheeks.

The bell rings again signaling the end of fourth period which means it's lunchtime.

I enter the cafeteria and walk over to the short queue. I picked out a sandwich along with an apple and a bottle of water. After paying for it, I turn around to look for my friends.

I spot my friends already seated at our usual table and stuffing their faces with pasta. I giggle at their messy faces. They happen to look at my direction at the time and wave for me to come over. I gladly do so and take my seat in between Bella and Becca.

"Are you dieting Faye? " Bella pointed out my sandwich and apple. I mentally face palmed myself. One thing that I hate the most is spaghetti bolognese. I just hate the taste it leaves behind for some reason.

" Bella, you forgot that I hate spaghetti bolognese! " I said in a whisper shouting tone, not wanting to attract unwanted attention. Bella awkwardly muttered an "Oops I forgot." before continuing to stuff her mouth with the pasta while I unwrap my sandwich and start to take small bites because my cheek is still swollen.

I take the last bite of my sandwich and begin drinking from my bottle. To say I was tired from all that chewing was an understatement. I offer my apple to my group of friends and Becca's mate, Jacob, takes it. I thank him and glance at the cafeteria clock, remembering that I still need to get books for the next class. I stand up, grab my bag, and wave goodbye to my friends.

School just ended and I am not looking forward to going back to that hell of a home. I slowly walk out of school, dreading every minute. I wish I didn't have to go back but if I try to avoid it again, I will get hurt twice as much. There is really no point in trying again.

That one time when I tried to escape, they beat me up with chains coated with silver and it hurt like hell. The word hell couldn't even describe half of the pain I felt. That is the reason I never tried pulling a stunt like that ever again. Even as a werewolf, it took me two whole months to fully recover and the scars left behind constantly reminded me of the one time I decided to act foolishly.

Since I was so distracted, I didn't watch where I was walking and bumped into someone. I rub my head, attempting to soothe the pain. Then, I lifted my head to apologize to the person I bumped into. I was left dumbfounded.

My eyes meet with the most good looking man on this planet. I immediately looked down as his blue eyes roamed over my tiny body. I blushed in embarrassment. I muttered a 'sorry' and practically ran away.

What is wrong with me?

In this chapter, you guys found out more about the close bond between Faye and her friends. Not only that but Faye also has an encounter with a mysterious good looking guy. Who could do that be?

As the writer of this book, I admit I blushed while writing the last few parts of this book.
