Chapter 4-Prison

Was I tired? Yes. But here I was in the middle of the night with a blue-eyed guy who has been awfully rude towards me and a brown-eyed wolf who looks somewhat familiar, like I seen him before. I had a feeling that I knew him but I don't know who exactly.

They must think we are rogues. Well, we technically are since a few hours ago. I mean we ran away from our 'pack' so we're considered rogues right?

'What are we suppose to do now Fiestar?' I ask my wolf, desperate for help from someone. 'Should we just run away?' Fiestar replied sneakily.

I sighed. Both the guy and the wolf turn to face me at the same time. Oh my god I was supposed to do that mentally. Stupid mouth! I just embarrassed myself. Well done.

'Run away?! Can't you see we're surrounded! Why do you have to be useless at this point in time?!' I take out my anger at her. Seriously, she thinks I haven't thought of that. Can't she see that no matter how fast or strong I am, we would get caught anyways. We're on a pack's land for god sake. 'Sorry Faye.' I hear Fiestar mutter in the back of my head before cutting the link. Great now I have to think alone! So much for having a wolf.

My mind starts to wonder somewhere else. They will never forgive us for running away. They will hurt us once they find us. I don't want to think of the possibilities once they find us. I hope that whoever's land this belongs to, will not send us back to 'hell'.

I can't imagine going back and experiencing the pain again. I just can't....I suffered so much just to get here...I can't go back. If I do, I lose hope in living this life. I am not going to leave this place to go back. I refuse to...I rather be trapped here than return...

I was snapped out of my thoughts when a mansion appears in my sight. There were surrounding houses but that mansion is huge. It could fit so many people. That must be the pack house where pack members live. A pack consists of pack members who live together and goes under the command of the leader which is called an Alpha. The pack members vary from different ages, young and old.

Usually, the pack members train together to defend their pack incase of any dangerous situation. There are specially trained warriors who carry out duties such as border patrols and guards of prison. Warriors are better trained and has special connections with the Alpha.

I hear bone snapping and that's when I realized that the brown-eyed guy had shifted. He went behind a tree to get dressed I assume. I was waiting to see who the familiar brown-eyed wolf was, gleaming with hope. Maybe he could save me.

The moment he came out,I was beyond shocked.....Adrian! Bella's mate is here which mean this is the Black Moon's Pack territory. Shit...

"Adrian, why didn't you tell me?" I question him and he rubbed the back of his neck. "Do you know her?" The blue-eyed guy asked Adrian in a more respectful tone than the one he used on me.

Seriously I don't know what his problem is. I haven't been respected or treated well by anybody other than my friends, and he made it on the list. "Yes, Parker. We're friends and you are now dismissed. I got orders from the Alpha to put her in prison." Adrian ordered firmly. That gu-I mean Parker just walked towards the pack house and we walked towards the direction of the prison I assume.

I didn't question Adrian. It's his Alpha's orders so it must be acknowledged. Audrey was still sleeping soundly on my shoulders. I was thankful for that. Adrian leads me down the stairs, me being careful not to trip while balancing my backpack and Audrey. The foul smell hits my nose as soon as he opens the door.

It smelled like blood and death. The smell instantly tingles the tip of your nose. I hope Audrey is not affected by the smell. What an I even saying? If I can't take it, what about her?

He leads me further down the corridor. There were wolves or more like rogues staring at me with hungry eyes.

They had blood and bruises all over them. I walk closely behind Adrian to make sure that I don't get lost in here. We stop at an empty cell and the guard opens the cell for me. I walk in and place my bag down.

"Adrian, would you mind taking Audrey? I don't want her to feel sick when she wakes up." I look at him and he mind links his Alpha, I assume. He nods and takes Audrey gently from me. "Please take care of her." He nods his head reassuringly. I glance at Audrey one last time before they disappear from my sight. I lean my back against the wall.

I am here alone, stuck in a prison or more like a dungeon. It reeks of blood and sweat. It was not the prettiest sight to see but this was better than 'home'. Here, I am not abused or raped. I was not feeling scared but relieved. I hope Audrey is okay. She is all I care about now.

As I continue staring into blank space, I feel my eyelids get heavier and heavier. I was exhausted from today's events. Mom beating up Audrey....packing our stuff...my aunt attempting to hurt Audrey....me crying....running away.....getting caught....and ending up here...

Then, all I saw was darkness.

The next day

I open my eyes to find myself in an unfamiliar cell but last night's events come rushing to my mind. I was still here. The guard turns out to be a different person now. I stretch my sore muscles. I unzip my bag and took out a sandwich I packed yesterday. I took bites of it and ate slowly. Once I was done, I took out a bottled water and drank it till it was empty. I placed it back into the bag.

My back. Then I remember that two days ago, it was stinging and I was in pain but now I felt as if it had been healed. With everything that's been happening, I forgot about it. I am glad that I was better but how? I start wondering about the possibilities. Was it the powers that helped me? Maybe. Is my wolf helping with the healing? I think so but it has never healed thus quickly. What changed?

It's been hours and I still couldn't get use to the smell. It made me want to puke. The food that I ate hours ago was digested. I think. My mind starts wondering if Audrey is okay.

Out of the blue, the door of my cell gets unlocked by the guard, motioning for me to come out. I come out, holding my backpack and following the guard. "Where are we going? What about Audrey? Is she okay? Did something happen to her?" I bombard the guard with questions but he just ignored me. How annoying! He leads me outside where the blu-Parker was waiting for me. I was left extremely confused.

"We need to hurry!" He starts to run and I follow him. The people whom we passed by were staring at us but I ignored them. He leads me to the enormous mansion. As we went in, people were glaring and whispering. It got on my nerves a little but I ignored it because I had other things to worry about.

He leads me up the stairs and finally, we stop outside a door. Parker knocks first and a "come in" was heard. He opens the door gestures for me to walk in. Adrian was standing with hus back faced to me, trying to approach Audrey.

Audrey was cowering in the corner. She had tears in her eyes. She was terrified. When she met my eyes, her eyes showed a glimpse of hope. I release the hold on my backpack and hug her. She hides her face in the crook of my neck. I rub her back and whisper soothing words. This is my fault again. I shouldn't have left her. I know that she would take time to adapt and I rushed into things, irrationally.

I don't think I am a good fit to take care of her. Maybe my decision was based solely on my emotions and the spur of a moment. I pull Audrey closer and mutter an apology to her. She did not deserve living a life like this. Especially when it is with me.

Soon, her cries became hiccups. I feel better hearing that she has calmed down. The sound of the door opening caught my attention. "Faye." My best friend, Bella called out to me. I look at her and instantly feel relieved. At least there is a familiar face around here. Someone who knows about my problems.

"Bella." I smile when I mention her name. "Gosh you stink."She says as she comes closer to me. She points towards the bathroom and I gladly took my backpack and walk towards it with Audrey still in my arms. Looks like the both of us need a warm shower.

Yayy!!! I managed to write the chapter and edit it!! I am so happy that I let my imagination wonder in this chapter!There are two new characters and I couldn't be happier! Hope you guys will look forward to Chapter 5 as there is more drama coming!
