I have discovered many beautiful sights in the past few months. I admit that no matter how beautiful or jaw-dropping the views were, it could never fill the loneliness I was feeling. Since I had to keep low-key to avoid being traced by any legal forces and also anybody who would know me, I avoid making eye contact with anyone. Although there were multiple times where I almost got caught, I swiftly got myself out of the situation. Good for me.
I sigh out loud, looking around at the deserted pavement. It was around midnight and I had no place to stay. I spot a bench nearby and rushed over to let my aching legs rest. I placed the duffle bag beside me and lean back on the bench that has a backrest. It was not all comfortable but it could do. I mean who am I to complain when I had nowhere to go? I lay down and place a protective barrier around myself.
I place my hand over my eyes and let sleep engulf me.
---
The sun shines brightly, causing me to squint my eyes. I rub my eyes slightly and open them to see that it was already morning. I stretch before grabbing my duffel bag to continue moving towards nowhere in particular. I had many more places to go to. I don't know why I decided to return to America for some reason but I just did. I don't completely regret my decision but somehow yes- I do - I am tempted to go home right at this moment. I miss my family infinitely. I better get moving since I am here anyway. I teleported into the woods where I will go on a search for a campsite where rouges stay. It is risky but I have to get the message across to them. It is very important.
I heard them before I even spotted them. A little chit chat here and there but something else caught my attention. The smell of food. Yum. My stomach grumbled right on cue. I hide behind a tree without making any noise. I use my advanced hearing to ensure that I was not stuck in any type of trap because this kind of campsites tend to have those, especially if they are rogues.
As I am listening to their conversations, something or more like someone pops out of literally nowhere and stabs me on the side. I groan in pain and place pressure onto my newly formed wound. I think about the nearest pack territory and bend down. "Who are you?" I remember that familiar voice. Leo. It was Leo. I landed on his property.
"You know who I am." I see Leo bend down and remove the cap from my hair. He stumbles back a little. I feel my vision going hazy. My mind losing control over my limbs. I was captured by someone. "Alexis!Alexis!"
Everything goes...
black.
--- (dream)
I pace around the room, worried about my mate. A guy tried to hit me up while I was at my bachelorette party. The true tea is that my friends decided to host a bachelorette party at a club. Yes, you heard me right. A CLUB! Aiden didn't agree at all when he found out about it. He doesn't even give me an option. With a firm and emotionless 'No', my lovely and wonderful friends begged me to beg him to let me go. I 'begged' my mate and he reluctantly gave in. My friends squealed in delight while I suffered throughout the night.
---
I feel like I am carrying a brick wall on my head. I look around, confused as I continue to rub my temples. Slowly, I start remembering everything. I wince as I move to sit up. Leo. He saved me. He is probably the one who carried me here. How thoughtful of him. "I see you are awake." I was so engrossed with my thoughts that I didn't hear the sound of the door opening.
"Hi, Leo." I give an awkward wave. He approaches me and sits on the bed as if he is ready to hear the story of my life. "What happened to you?" I update him on the full story of what has been going on in your girl's life. Which girl? This girl right here. It's like Keeping Up With The Kardashians but my version. (random thought)
After about a good two hours of talking, I lay my head on the bed rest. That was exhausting. I didn't know my life story could take up as long as two hours but it did. "Your family doesn't know about this?" I nod.
"I am telling them once I get back. Please keep it a secret. I have to finish this task before returning to my rightful place." Instead of agreeing, Leo went the opposite direction and lectured me about how my family is worried for me and that they should know I am safe and sound. It took another good hour to convince him otherwise. I succeeded when I heard a hum as his answer.
I bear hug him and my fingers ruffle through his hair. I soon regret it as I pull back and clutch my wound that I had forgotten about for a brief moment. I still give my million dollar smile to Leo. He laughs it off. It feels good to have company after so long. I felt alive.
It has been a few days and my wound is healed. Sadly, a scar left behind due to the deep stab wound. I was lucky to survive that stab. I could have been dead by now. "I am going to miss both of you." I give them each a hug before saying some parting words.
"Till we meet again."
With one last glance, I leave for my next location.
