Chapter 38-A Queen's Duty

Faye's POV

I let my female assistants dress me up as Bella recites my timeline for the day. I had very few plans for the day. After breakfast, I am going to be meeting someone.

Right after that is my free time, I will either read or visit Audrey. The Alphas will arrive around noon time and I will be greeting them. "Remember to prepare some refreshments for the Alphas."

"I will do as you instructed, My Queen." Bella replies, continuing to read out my timeline for the day. After that, I have paperwork to do for about two hours. Dinner starts and I will have to leave early as I have to prepare for Audrey's birthday celebration the next day.

Once I am done, I join Aiden at the assembly hall for Alpha Meeting where the Alphas will speak up about their concerns and requests. It will end at half past ten before retreating back to our chambers.

What a day. I let my stylist put on my crown and the last of my accessories. I slide in some heels placed nicely by my assistants. "Thank you. You are dismissed." I smile gracefully.

"Let's go. Shall we?"

"Yes, My Queen."

I walk and let the dress flow elegantly against the marble floor. I wait patiently for the elevator as Bella presses the button and steps behind. The door of the elevator opens and I was startled when I see Aiden and Ashton in the same elevator. I did a little curtsy towards the both of them as Bella and Ashton bows their head. I gave a genuine smile at Aiden. He catches it and returns it back. He moves a little to his right, making space for both me and Bella.

I enter and stood beside Aiden. He presses a kiss to my forehead. We travel down to the same level. Both of our assistants step out first. Aiden opens up his hand for me to loop mine through and I do so. We walk at the same time, sparking a conversation. "You look stunning, my wife."

I blush a little, his compliments still get to me."You look not too bad yourself, my hubby." I giggle softly. Our lives has changed but that doesn't mean our love did. It has grown.

We step foot into the dining hall. Our families sat there with their heads bowed in respect for the both of us even when we told them they didn't have to do that. We had made an exception for them. Aiden pulls out my chair and helps me settle down with putting my dress to one side. "Thank you." Aiden begins to eat and the rest of us follow after him. It is an etiquette for us to begin to eat after the King has his first bite.

We were not allowed to talk with food in our mouth and we had to use the right utensil for each course meal. Ariana lifts her hand as an indication that she wants to speak to us. That was a rule too. "My King and Queen."She does a little curtsy and I couldn't help but chuckle a little. "You know you do not have to do that Ariana."

"I know. I just wanted to tease the both of you." Aiden and I shared a look. "Well, I have some good news to share. Ashton and I are expecting." For a moment, the whole room went silent. "That's great. Congratulations to the both of you!" I applauded them and smiled gleefully.
