Wendy
Usually I liked theatrical commercials. Sitting in the dark eating all the buttered pieces of popcorn one by one until the only pieces of kernel left were the salted. Tonight though I wasn't in butter bliss; I was freaked out, sweating buckets.
The movie started out slowly and inviting, like all horror movies do. Halfway through I buried my head in Matthew's chest asking every five minutes if it was over. At one point, I looked up, and it didn't seem that scary so I watched, for about ten seconds, then I returned to my previous position.
"I'm going to take you out of your misery," Matthew said taking my hand.
"I didn't know you were that scared of horror movies," he said as we strolled out of the theatre.
"Tried terrified of them; I am not going to be able to sleep tonight".
"Really?"
I nodded "yeah".
"I have an idea".
Instead of walking to our dorms, we detoured past them, past the track and went close to passing the school. We stopped at a big tree surrounded by a huge field of grass, "I come here to clear my head sometimes," he said taking a seat on the ground. I sat beside him "it is peaceful"; he pointed to the sky "especially at night". I lay down and admired the millions of stars that filled the dark sky.

I woke up in my bed the next morning, my phone beeping with the alert of a text.
At the pool with Wyatt, there's a party, the text read.
Assuming this was some sort of invite; I got out of bed, grabbed my booty shorts and a crop top and headed out to find the pool.
Slowly slipping into the pool, I closed my eyes and relaxed, trying to follow one conversation out of the many that were happening.
"You broke the rules Roxy"
"Well those rules are stupid Bridget"
"Oh they weren't so stupid when you got Liam instead of Charlotte"
"Yes but I didn't have a boyfriend; you have one Bridget".
"Still Roxy, the rules are I liked him first so you aren't allowed to make a move but you did so I guess we are through."
I opened my eyes and looked around Roxy and Bridget were nowhere in sight. I shrunk down letting the water rise up to my collar.
"Hey you're at a party, smile," Wyatt said slipping into the water beside me.
"Can you listen to one particular conversation out of everybody here?" I asked; he closed his eyes and sighed.
"Not really, just wisps of it. Why?"
I whimpered, "I think I'm changing faster than normal".
"You're not; you're just paranoid. We have 9 weeks left and I'm still looking for things, so just try not to think about."
"Wyatt we came to Chapman so I would forget, so that I could enjoy my last das of freedom and sunshine. If I make you search for clues or the missing piece of that paper that may possibly not exist then we aren't forgetting".
"So you want me to stop?" he asked.
I nodded "yeah".
He put his arm around me and kissed me on the head.
