Wendy
Prom was set to begin at 8:00pm; that gave us three hours to get ready. We each decided on a theme to match our dresses, Charlotte chose a mermaid theme, I went with a rock star theme, and Roxy decided to make her fantasy come true with a princess theme. At ten to eight, we slipped into our dresses and shoes.
"I look awesome," Charlotte, stated staring at herself in the full-length mirror in our room, from behind her I stared at my own reflection. Hair curled, black makeup red lipstick and barely visible earrings. Not exactly, the typical prom look but then again typical was no word to describe me.
"I look breath taking," Roxy said pushing Charlotte away from the mirror Charlotte growled under her breath. The wall mirror started to float coming directly at Roxy "Charlotte" I screamed, the mirror changed course and came directly at me. I ducked letting the mirror hit the wall and shatter into tiny shards "seven years of bad luck", Roxy said disapprovingly at Charlotte.
Before Charlotte could attempt another assault on Roxy, there was knock on the door. Before me stood two guys who cleaned up well, not just well but WELL. My jaw dropped as I looked at Matthew and Jake. They were both wearing a black tuxedo Matthew a tie that matched my dress Jake a tie that matched Charlotte's. "Can we buy a vowel?" Jake asked sarcastically "wow" was the only thing I could say.
"You guys look good," Charlotte, said coming behind me, the boys nodded their appreciation "ready?" they asked. Charlotte and I grabbed our purses "Roxy are you coming or are you waiting for Karl?" I asked her, "I'll wait," she said. I shrugged "Wendy do you think he came for me or he brought a date?" I smiled at her; she was talking about our encounter with Wyatt when we were coming back from the hot tub. "I think he came unattached, and right now he's a puzzle piece looking for his other half," I said with a smirk and wink, then want to join Charlotte. I looped my arm with Matthew's and off we were to the "The Most Enchanting Night of our lives".
After thirty minutes of prom I came to one realization, Matthew and Jake cannot dance. After dinner, the D.J. dropped some upbeat tracks and as Charlotte and I just swayed and jumped carefully to them, the guys went all out. I wanted to go up to them and just tell them "you can't dance" but they looked like they were having so much fun. So instead, Charlotte and I went up to the D.J. and requested a slow song, and thanks to Charlotte's psychic ability to read minds and use your darkest secrets against you we got what we wanted. The D.J. played "Time of My Life" my absolute favourite slow song.
I waltzed into Matthew's arms. We swayed slowly to the song and as the crescendo of the song came in, he followed my lead as I danced the dance from the movie. Then came the most memorable part "jump" he whispered, I stared at him as if he was crazy, but his eyes told me to trust him. I looked over his shoulder and saw Charlotte talking to the D.J." Ok everyone clear out we have a couple that wants to attempt the jump".
I looked around me as everyone cleared the floor "go" Matthew told I laughed in spite of myself and took a few steps back. I saw Matthew mouth "3, 2, 1" I was off. The next thing I knew everyone was clapping as Matthew led me down. I stared at him in amazement as everyone returned to the floor I kissed him "let's get out of here" he said, I nodded still awed that I had just lived my dream.

I watched as Matthew put his clothes back on, "Do we really have to go back down stairs?" I asked getting of the bed and stepping into my dress. I walked over to him so he could zip me up "you don't want to go?" I shook my head "I'd rather stay here" he chuckled and kissed me. I closed my eyes as his lips traveled down my neck "I have something for you," he whispered to me. He went into his bag and pulled out a white box tied up with purple ribbon. I opened it and in it was a necklace.
I looked up at him "it's an Alexandrite, your birthstone" tears welled up in my eyes I hadn't thought about my birthday in a long time "thank you". I turned around for him to put it on me. I stared at my reflection; the purple was vibrant against the black. He wrapped his arms around my waist and leaned into me, "picture perfect," I whispered.
The door opened forcibly slamming against the wall, I turned my head to the door Charlotte was standing there sweating buckets “Where’s Roxy?" she asked.
"What?"
"She's not down stairs or in our room or anywhere in this hotel."
"How do you know?" I asked she looked too shaken to answer, "She had a vision that Roxy had her hands tied up in an abandoned warehouse or something and she was screaming for help.” Jake said appearing behind her.
My heart dropped "did you try her cell?" Jake nodded "my brother?" I asked. I walked out of the room to the direction of my instincts, I did not know which room Wyatt was in but the concept of twin telepathy was real especially when those twins were supernatural. I knocked on the door "hey nice necklace" he said, Roxy is missing? My mind said to him before I could get the words out.
"What do you mean Roxy's missing?" he asked slowly "she was on her way to prom with Karl last time I saw her."
I leaned by the doorframe "Wendy?" I heard Charlotte call from across the hall I stood up. "I know where she is."

Five anxious teens driving down the highway at night was a recipe for disaster. "Where did you say she was again?" I asked "Phoenix, Arizona". Why in the hell would she be in Arizona. I was scared half to death leaning into Matthew who had his arm around me protectively. Wyatt stared out the window with a blank emotionless look releasing a sharp breath every so often. Jake sat in the passenger seat and Charlotte drove seeing she was the only one who had the slightest clue of where we were headed. We cruised along the highway, but before crossing the border out of California, we stopped.
“Why are we stopping?" I asked, "She's here," Charlotte said.
"What do we do?" Matthew asked her "we go look for her," Wyatt said finally speaking up. Stepping out of the car, I realized that we had parked right in front of a forest. I clung on to Matthew's arm whimpering, movies like this always ended with only one survivor who would eventually kill him/herself. Once in the forest our phones became our only source of light, hopping that the dim lightning they gave us would be enough to help us find Roxy. At one point I started to cough, I coughed so loud and hard that we ultimately had to stop. The others went on searching but Matthew and I stayed behind. My head started to ache, and I started to get chilly even though the air was warm. “Are you ok?' Matthew asked me giving me his jacket, as he wrapped it around me Jake ran up to us, "we found her".
