Coming back for you

  *One week later*

Adam's POV:

I was a wreck. That's one thing I knew for sure. The other? I loved Eve and I was going to win her back. It was about three in the morning and I had to do a guest appearance in a few hours on some tv show I really didn't care about at the moment. All I could think about was how to get her back with me. All I ever did was call her, text her, or drink. The only text I ever got from her was that she was okay and safe. I was glad to know she was safe but I needed her safe with me. I took another swig of whiskey and my door was opened.

"You know you can knock." I mumbled to Jesse.

We had been rocky since Eve left, the underlying tension between us thicker than ever before in our years of friendship.

"You know you can stop sitting on your sorry ass and go get her back before some other guy swoops her up." He said, upset.

I raised an eyebrow. "Do you know something I don't? I know you two talk." I glared at him.

"Even if I did know something it's not for me to tell. Go find it out yourself." He glared back.

I just groaned and took another drink. Jesse walked over to where I was sitting on my bed and ripped away my whiskey.

"Hey! I need that!" I yelled as he poured it down my bathroom sink.

He didn't listen, instead he walked over and picked my up by my shirt. He dragged me into my bathroom and put me in the tub and turned the cold water on.

"Sober up! She's not coming back to this and we have an appearance to make. No one wants you to make the band look bad because of a mistake you made." He motioned to me and walked away, angry.

I sighed and sat there for a second as the shower soaked my clothes. Just then I had a brilliant idea.

Eve's POV:

"I can be your hero baby, I can kiss away the pain!"

Blake and I were sitting on his big lawn in front of his porch. He was playing his guitar, mockingly singing to me. I was dying of laughter at how cheesy he purposely made his singing.

"I will stand by you forever, you can take my breathe awaaaayy!" He finished. "How you like my new solo?" He grinned.

"Well it's great but there is the fact that it is already a song. You can always try a remix, though." I laughed.

I was sitting on his tire swing, under a large oak tree. Classic country house yard, I swear. He was on the ground next to me, just strumming his guitar. The light summer breeze blew our hair just a bit, it felt nice.

Over the week we came to... an agreement almost. We both acknowledged that we had feelings for the other, but we knew we shouldn't pursue them. We had only had sex those first two nights, now we just acted like flirtatious best friends. Even if we did sleep in the same bed. I'll admit, it wasn't classy to do so but I didn't care, and neither did Blake. It felt nice and was comforting to have some human contact while we were both in so much pain. So therefore we both took on an 'I'm doing me' attitude and continued with our relationship as such.

"So since we've been lazy asses all week long, lets say you come with me tonight?" Blake asked, using one hand to lightly push me back and forth on the tire swing.

"Go where?" I asked.

"It's just some late night tv show they want to interview me for. It'll be quick, I promise."

I nodded. "Sounds fun."

He stood up and put his guitar in one hand. "We better go get ready then!"

He used his other hand and wrapped it around me, pulling me with him to go get ready. We helped each other dress. I picked out a black button up collar for him and dark blue jeans. He picked me out a black dress, it went a few inches above the knee and was pretty cute.

"Dang we clean up nice!" Blake said, as we checked ourselves in the mirror.

I left my hair down and I combed back Blake's for him. I had to stand on the bathroom counter to do so, he was so darn tall. We finally were ready and we raced each other to the car. After we got to the commercial building where it was filmed, Blake helped me out and I smoothed out the dress I was wearing. Blake looked really good in a button up collar and jeans. We walked in and were ushered to our seats, we just had to watch the show till Blake was interviewed. Then we could chose to stay or go.

Blake was called up and asked a few questions on his new album, he and Miranda's split, what The Voice was like. Stuff like that, nothing special. Once he was done, he came back and sat by me. He put his hand on my thigh and asked if I wanted to stay a while longer or go home. I told him we could stay, I didn't want to leave. I really enjoyed this tv show! I was going to have to watch it now.

The host spoke up, "Up next we have our musical guest! Maroon 5!" I felt Blake tense as my jaw dropped.

Come again tv show host dude?
