Since I had done my first battle I had a while off before I would have to go back again, so I was enjoying my time off. It had been about a week since Adam and I got my stuff from my old apartment and moved it all in here. I still had the room next to Adam's. Only Jesse was still here though, James and Mickey had both left to go back home for a while. Adam assured me that they would be back soon though.

We had actually gotten pretty close since I've spent almost every waking moment with them after I moved in. They are funny, down to earth, and great to hang out with. Right now I was in the kitchen eating cereal, having a staring contest with Jesse. I could tell he was dying to blink and so was I. I was about to give up when Adam walked into the kitchen and blew air into Jesse's face, making him blink. Jesse gasped and turned to look at Adam.

"Not cool! I was so going to win this time!" He complained.

I laughed as Adam gave him an 'are you kidding me' look.

"You guys play that lame game every morning and you always lose Jess." Adam pointed out, grabbing a bowl of cereal.

Jesse made an angry pouty face, "I won once actually."

I nodded and pointed my spoon at him, "it's true, he also cheated once too."

Jesse turned around and glared at me. "I did not."

"Throwing milk in my eyes is cheating!" I gave him a blank stare.

"Let me see the rule book then." His eyes got all wide and he held out his hand.

"There's no rule book for a staring contest! It's just common sense you nub!" I yelled.

He looked offended and opened his mouth wide as he gasped, causing cereal to fall out his mouth.

"Take that back!" He growled.

I pretended to think. "Naahh." I said, acting bored.

"Adam! She called me a nub! What is a nub anyway!?" He complained.

"Tattle tale." I mumbled.

Adam rolled his eyes and walked over to me.

"You two I swear. I'm going to have to separate you like the children you are." He said to Jesse and I.

"She started it." Jesse mumbled.

"Did not." I mumbled.

"Ok that's enough." Adam said, before I could say a thing he had me over his shoulder.

"I'll catch you later Jesse!" Adam told him as he walked outside into the warm California sun.

I took a deep breathe of the ocean air that I loved so much. I heard Adam unlock his car and he set me in the passenger seat. Once he started the car and we drove off I asked him where we were going.

"I figured we could go to the mall then catch a movie? Sound good?" He asked.

I turned my head and looked at him and smiled. He could pull off such a plain outfit so well. I mean seriously, who could look so good in blue jeans, a black tight v-neck, and black sunglasses? It just wasn't humanly possible. He must be part alien I bet. Maybe he sheds his perfect skin at night and then-

"Hello! Earth to Eve! Why are you staring at me?" He asked, waving hand in front of my face.

I didn't want to tell him my weird thoughts so I just looked forward.

"Just keep your eyes on the road." I mumbled.

He laughed a bit. "I am, and tell me what you were thinking! Or I'll stop the car again like I did before. You know I will."

Dang, he had me there, I sighed.

"I was imagining you being an alien because you're too perfect to be human." I mumbled, hoping he wouldn't hear it all, but of course he heard every word.

"Well thanks, I think. You're pretty dang perfect your self." He smiled and I blushed.

I turned on the radio and 'Rain is a Good Thing' came on and I started to sing it.

"You like country?" He asked, surprised.

"Yea, why?" I replied.

"Just didn't take you for the country type. But it looks like Blake has a new best friend. Wait'll I tell him." He chuckled.

"I like Blake, when can we all hang out next?" I asked as we pulled into the mall's parking lot.

"This weekend, I asked him to hang out since him and Miranda are kind of in a rough patch." He said as we got out of the car.

He took my hand and we kept walking. I didn't want to get into Blake's personal life too much till I knew him better, so I didn't ask more. We walked around the mall some and I got to dress Adam up and he did the same for me. He actually has a good sense of style for women, I was surprised. We were standing in line at Starbucks when I started shivering. It was pretty drafty in here.

"You ok princess?" Adam asked, running his hands up and down my arms.

"Yea, just a bit chilly." I smiled.

"I left my jacket in the car, let me go get it for you." He smiled.

"Thanks Adam." I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"No problem. Just meet me in the cafeteria when you're done ok?" He told me and I nodded.

I grabbed our drinks after waiting and I walked towards the food court. What I saw made me almost drop the drinks and cause my blood to boil.

So sorry for the wait. I'll try for once a week on both my stories! If you haven't, check out Sorry, I Don't Date Singers- it's a new Adam Levine fanfic I'm working on. Very different from this one! You guys are awesome! Xx
