I looked down at my arm. There were five blue/green bruises that surrounded the parts where Tyler grabbed me. Oh crap, so not good. I put on a fake smile and looked at a concerned Adam.

"Oh, nothing. Probably just when I was messing around with my little sister." I tried to play it cool, I could tell he didn't buy it but he nodded anyway.

He looked up at the clock. "Well it's getting late, we should probably head out. I'll go bring the car around ok?"

"Yea I'll meet you out there in a sec." I smiled at him as we walked out.

I took a couple seconds gathering the new song we were singing and walked out. I was turning a corner out of the building and was looking down at the paper in my hands so I wasn't watching where I was going. Which was a big mistake because I felt myself collide with a huge rock and I fell backwards. As I was about to hit the ground the rock caught me. I opened my eyes to see the "rock" was the one and only Blake Shelton. We were still for a moment when he cleared his throat and set me back up.

I looked up at him, "Sorry, I wasn't looking."

Man he was tall! He gave me a small laugh.

"Yea I noticed, but no harm done. Something exciting always happening around here."

I laughed, "You got that right Blake."

He stuck out his hand, "You're Eve right? I haven't seen you since you rejected my offer to be on my team."

He gave me a pointed look.

I laughed nervously "Well you were my second choice I promise!"

I shook his hand, which was twice the size of mine.

"Oh sure I was." He rolled his eyes.

"Hey Blake! Quit harrassing my pupil!" Adam yelled, walking in pointing an causing finger at him.

Blake put his hands up.

"I was simply introducing myself. After she practically attacked me.." He fake glared at me.

"I did not!" I hit him on the shoulder.

"Ow! Not so hard! Miranda wouldn't want these guns to get damaged." Blake rubbed his shoulder.

"You are such a pansy man. Alright well we better head out. Later Blake!" Adam said as he grabbed my hand and led me outside, I waved at a smirking Blake.

Adam opened my door for me and I got in the car.

"So you think you're ready to go against Jason?" Adam asked me.

"I think so yea, I'm not sure if I'll be good enough but I'll try." I replied, looking out the window.

Adam looked at me as he slammed on the brakes.

"What the heck Adam?" I yelled.

"Don't you say that ever again!" He said, half mad, all serious.

"Say what?" I asked, what has gotten into this boy?

"That you're not a good singer! You are one of the best I have ever heard, and I'm not lying. I don't pick just anybody to be on my team. You're special Eve."

"Ok I believe you! Now can we drive?" I laughed.

"Say it." He said seriously.

"Say what?" I asked, partially annoyed but amused as well.

Was this guy off his rocker or something tonight?

"Say I Eve, am the best singer in the entire world." He said looking at me.

I groaned, "Adam!"

He put the car in park and took the keys out, crossing his arms. "We aren't going anywhere till you admit it."

"You're impossible Adam..."

"Saaayyyy ittt!" He sang, dangling the keys infront of me. "I'll throw them out the window and you'll be stuck with me allll night."

I sighed. Not that that would be a bad thing, I internally smirked.

"I'm the best singer in the world." I said fast.

He put a hand to his ear. "What was that? I can't hear you!"

"Hey LA!! I am the best singer in the world! You happy?" I yelled out the window then at him.

He laughed, "Estactic."

He put the keys in the car and drove off. Once we got to my house I said bye and thanked him for the ride, climbing into my bed for a long needed rest.
