  Adam's POV:

After Jesse and Eve left, Blake and I were left staring the other down.

"So how's this going to be, Shelton?" I asked him.

"I think you should just forget you and Eve were ever a thing." He stated, dryly.

I scoffed, "How about you take your own advice?"

We had gotten close enough to hear the other breathe now.

"You can have any other girl Adam. Just not her."

"Just because you lost Miranda doesn't mean I have to lose Eve."

That was all it took for Blake's fist to connect with my face. I'll admit, it really hurt. I looked at a smirking Blake and snapped. I ran at him and tackled him against the wall. Once I heard the air forced out of him, I repeatedly hit him in the stomach. I looked up at his face to see he was a bit dazed, I helped him snap out of that and hit him in the face twice. After that he shoved me off him, effectively throwing me to the ground. He got on top of me and started hitting me, I got in a couple blows to his stomach, he got some to my face. Other than the fact he was way taller than me, we were pretty evenly matched.

After a few more hits he stopped, I stopped when he did. We were both panting heavily, blood was dripping from his nose. He wiped it off with his shirt and stared at me. I felt blood coming from my lip, and just above my eye.

"You done?" He asked.

I nodded, "Are you?"

He nodded and got off of me. I spit blood out of my mouth, while I looked over the damage I had caused Blake. His nose was bleeding, his eye was already bruising, he had a slight wince when he moved too.

"What are we doing?" Blake half laughed.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I mean, why are we acting like the opinions all ours? Eve has a mind of her own, too. Her choice is what I want. I want her to be happy." I shook my head.

"I didn't even think of that. I was just so blind with the thought of finally getting her back." I sighed.

He looked at me. "So was I. We both just need to talk to her, privately."

I nodded. "I really did a number on your face." I smirked.

He laughed, "You should see yourself."

"I'm kind of afraid to." I admitted.

"So am I. I think you cracked my rib or something." He winced as he touched his side.

"What can I say? I don't know my own strength." I shrugged.

After we laughed, there was a moment of silence. "I loved her first Blake." I sighed.

He sighed too, "I know, but I loved Miranda first. And that didn't change anything."

He sounded heartbroken and I felt for my friend.

"Do you still love her?" I asked him.

He looked up at me and gave me a sad smile.

"I do. But I lost my chances with her. I just- I don't want to lose Eve too, Adam."

"Neither do I." I groaned. "You know one of us is going to end up hurt right?"

He nodded, "And when that time comes, I just want things to go back to normal between us."

"They will. It may be slightly awkward and a bit painful, but it will." I promised him.

He smiled, "Good. Now lets go have that talk with my girl."

I cleared my throat and glared at him.

He caught his slip up, "I mean... Uh, our girl?"

I gave him a grimace and shook my head. "Yea, lets just stick with Eve." I laughed at him and rolled my eyes.

I was really glad that fighting with my best friend was done. We started to walk out and he put his arm around my shoulders.

"Our first fight." He smiled. "You know what this calls for?" He asked me.

"Not a clue." I told him.

He laughed. "Calls for a drink.".
