I was home alone in my room, working on my singing for tonights rehearsals when I heard a loud pounding on my front door. Who would be pounding so loud and urgently? I got off my bed and walked to my front door. The person was still pounding, getting on my last nerve.

"Yea yea! I heard you the first ten times!" I yelled as I unlocked it.

Outside stood a very mad looking Tyler. He pushed passed me and slammed the front door shut.

"Tyler? Why are you here? What are you doing?"

He always called before coming over.

"You should know why I am here! You cheating slut!" He punched the wall with the side of his fist, leaving a hole.

"Oh my god! Tyler what the hell!" I yelled.

"Someone said they saw some guy giving you a ride home last night. Want to explain to me what that is about?" He was shaking with anger.

"You need to calm down Tyler, that was Adam, you know Adam Levine? He was just giving me a ride home because I had to ride to try outs, thanks to you!" I yelled back, which only seemed to anger him more.

"Don't yell at me! Who knows what you two did in his car! You're lucky I wasn't there!" He yelled, grabbing my arm and pulling me close to him.

I let out a small whimper as his grip tightened harshly. That would leave a bruise.

"You are mine! No one else can touch you or talk to you! You need to quit the voice, and I wont tell you again. I can't even trust you alone there, who knows. You probably only got in because you screwed the judges!" He growled in my face.

I was about to say something back when he threw me to the floor and stormed out, slamming the door. Leaving me sitting there trying not to cry. I got up and decided to take a shower to calm my nerves. It helped while I thought what Tyler had said. Maybe I should quit, if this is all its going to cause. What if Gabi had been home? I couldn't put her in that kind of danger or anger Tyler even worse.

I would have to tell Adam tonight that I was quitting, I couldn't believe I worked so hard for nothing. I got out of the shower and threw on a white v-neck shirt with white pants and a black belt with black vans. I decided to throw my hair up in a messy bun and brushed my side bangs out of my face.

I was getting ready when I heard another knock at my door. I prayed it wasn't an angry Tyler again. I opened it up to reveal Adam wearing a blue and black flannel and black pants with boots. Yum. I was definitely going to miss my view if you know what I mean.

"Hey, you forgot your board in my car, so I figured I'd come pick you up. If you didn't already have a ride that is?" He asked, waiting for my answer.

"Um, no I actually had to talk to you about something Adam." I said sadly, I wish I didn't have to do this.

He leaned on the door frame, god why did he have to do that? He looked so good.

"Yea what's up?" He asked with a hint of concern in his eyes.

"Why don't you just come inside?" I gave him a small smile.

As we both sat on the couch he waited for me to speak. Once he raised an eyebrow at me and gave me an amused smirk I tried my hardest not to become a puddle. Damn him for making this so hard, it would've been so much easier to pick Christina's team. But I wouldn't trade my time with Adam for anything.

I took a deep breathe, "Adam, I have to quit."

He stood up really fast. "What! Why? You can't Eve! We need you! Was it something I did wrong?"

I stood up with him. "No Adam. I just, have no way to and from because I don't have a car anymore."

Wow, that was a lame lie, I thought to myself.

"I'll pick you up then and take you home, its really not a problem. C'mon you can't quit, please stay?" He gave me the saddest look and that was all it took.

I did want this, so I should have it. Tyler can get over it. I smiled.

"We better get going then!" I ran out my door with Adam close behind.

"Lock it for me!" I yelled at him from the bottom of the apartment stairs.

I waited for him as he did as I instructed, his car was parked a short walk away.

He opened my door for me and jumped in his side.

"Such a gentlemen," I teased.

He winked at me and we laughed.

We both sang along to the radio as we pulled into were the rehearsals were for tonight. I took my place along the other team members, whose name's I didn't know even though Adam said everyone's name.

"Ok first up will be Jason against Eve. You two will be singing The One That Got Away." Adam looked at us.

I looked for the guy named Jason and smiled at him, which he returned.

"The rest of you, keep practicing and Jason come with me for your personal practice, Eve you'll be next."

I watched as Jason went in. After Jason was done, I went in with Adam. He taught me how to hit certain notes and we had a few laughs. We were currently joking around at the beard he was growing in. It stopped when he pointed to my arm.

"What the hell is that?"
