Being a child, you'll be friends with anyone who talks to you. That's how it was until about fourth grade. That's when I started to drift off from the rest of the kids and have Kayden and Kaylee as my only 'friends'. We still talked to our other classmates, but we mostly stuck to our group.
Our favorite time of the day was always recess or lunch because the three of us got to talk to each other for the whole class period. We could never wait for those times. We would play our hearts out on the playground and then go in to eat. We would also switch snacks, or share them all with each other.

I pulled into the parking lot of the school and looked for a place to park. Being only 13, I didn't really keep in touch with anyone, so no one even knew I was back.
Once I finally found an empty spot, I parked my car, shut the engine off, and prayed I found at least one friend here today. Preferably before lunch so I had someone to sit with.
I got out of my car, grabbing everything I would need for the day, then shutting my door, locking it behind me. I made my way to the front doors, when I started thinking about how I could never wait to go to high school with my two best friends.
"Hey, is everything okay? Are you lost?" I heard a faint voice say behind me, being ripped out of my previous thoughts.
"Yeah everything is okay. I was just thinking, hoping my first day went well today." I answered back adding a slight shy smile at the end.
I really wasn't a shy girl. I was a girl who wasn't afraid to tell people what I thought. Who wasn't afraid of what people thought. Someone who could really hold a grudge against someone. Back at my other school, I was well known. I went to parties every weekend. I wouldn't say I got with the wrong crowd, but I would say I don't think I would be this way if we never left here.
"Oh so you're new here? I'm Andrea by the way. I can show you to the office if you need?" You could here the cheerfulness in her voice, and the wide smile on her face definitely showed it.
"Yeah I guess you could say I'm new here. I'm Elle, and would love if you could show me the way to the office" I answered back giving a slight laugh at the end.
"It's nice to meet you Elle. Come with me and I'll show you the way!" I followed Andrea and we made a bit of chit chat on the way there about what classes I was interested in taking and what ones she was in.
"Well here you are. Would you like me to wait here to show you the way to your first class?" Andrea asked sounding joyful she had a new person to talk to and show around.
"No it's fine I can find my way, thank you for showing me the way and offering" I said giving her a smile afterwards and turning to walk into the office.
Once I was done in the office, and got my schedule, I walked out of the office and took a look at what class I had first.
"So, what's the first class of the day going to be?" I heard someone ask, startling me a bit. I looked up and there was Andrea looking all innocent and laughing a bit. "Sorry I coulfn't just leave you to get lost and walk into the wrong classroom".
I laughed at what she had said second, and looked down at my schedule again, hoping she knew where I was going to be.
"It says my first class of the day is going to be math with Mr. Brown" I said analyzing my schedule to see what was after that.
"Well lucky for you I am heading to that class also, so we can show up to his class late together" Andrea added, the last part making us both laugh and start walking to his class so we wouldn't be any later.
