Once I got home, I got everything out of my car and made my way into the house. When I got in, I took off my shoes putting them on the steps, and placed my bag and books next to it. I walked into the kitchen, looking to see if I could find my parents anywhere.

"Hey hunny. How was your first day of school?" My mom asked once I walked into the kitchen.

"It was okay. Just another day of school I wish I didn't have to attend. How was your day?" I asked while looking through the cabinets for something to eat.

"It was okay. Got a lot of unpacking done. Did you make any friends today?" You could hear it in her voice that she was genuinely curious.

"Yeah I made a few. They all seem nice" I answered back with a slight smile on my face thinking about how kind all the girls where to me today.

"Well that's good! What are their names?" "The one I was closest to today, is Andrea, then you have Caroline, Riley, Sadie, Aaliyah, and Kendall." I told her while grabbing a bag of chips out.

"Wow all girls. That's different. And six of them at that. I didn't think that would ever happen" My mom said while laughing and smiling at the fact that I made six new friends and they where all girls.

If you couldn't tell, most of my friends were guys. Besides Kaylee all those years ago, the only girl friend I've had was Addison. I always got along better with the guys so, I made friends with them easier than I did girls. The way I became friends with Addison was actually quite funny.

I walked into my new school for the first time. This was the first time I have to make new friends since kindergarten. Living in the same place all your life gave you the same friends every school year. But now that I'm in a whole another state, I was gonna have to forget about all the friends I had and make new ones, because these are the only people I'm gonna have for the next couple years. That is until I graduate and can go on my own.

Once I walked into the school, I was looking all around trying to find the office. This school was a lot bigger compared to my other one considering we were a small town.

I continued walking and looking around until I felt someone collide into me.

"Watch where you're going next time" said this blonde girl with a bit of attitude attached to the statement.

She was your average 13, think she knows it all girl. She had three people behind her, laughing at the way she spoke to me.

"Well maybe if you weren't in my way I wouldn't have to watch. Maybe you should watch where YOU'RE going" I answered back putting emphasis on the word you're.

The girls looked at me as if they had never heard someone speak to them before. I think if it were possible the jaws would be below the building floor.

They stood there for about five minutes just staring at me and trying to wrap their heads around what had just happened.

"Well if you guys are just gonna stand there with your mouths open, can you at least make yourselves useful and point me to the way to the office?" I asked them getting tired of just standing here.

They continued to just stare at me and once again if it was possible, their jaws went even lower.

I had gotten tired of standing there and walked around them trying to find my way to the office myself.

I started walking away when I stopped in my tracks because I heard someone say something.

"I'm Addison, and you're going the wrong way" I turned around to look at the blonde haired girl who had just stood still for a good 10 minutes with her mouth wide open.

"I'm Elle, and thank you." "If you would like, I could walk you there so you don't get lost?" She offered with a little side smile on her lips.

"Yeah that would be great, thanks" And with that, that is how Addison and I became friends. We hung out a lot and I got her out of her mean girl ways. It wasn't like I meant to do it, I guess she just didn't like when people beat her at her own game.

"Yeah they are really chill. I actually didn't meet any guys today. I met Andrea walking into the building and had every class with her. From there she let me sit with her at lunch, and introduced me to her friends" I said, telling my mom what had happened at school today.

We talked for about a half an hour about how our day was and what we did. We shared a lot of laughs together. It was a really nice time. That was until she asked me a question I was dreading  answering, even more so thinking about.
