Viktor Krum returned from the maze completely dazed with no recollection of ever walking inside it. It only confirmed that what Olivia had seen was in fact true. Someone had placed Krum under the Imperious Curse. It also meant that what she had seen about Harry and Cedric being teleported to a graveyard was also true. Knowing they were more than likely already in that graveyard was crippling.
Her knee was bouncing up and down at an unprecedented rate and she couldn't get it to stop. She stayed at the very top of the stands with Madame Pomfrey while Professor Dumbledore, Snape and McGonagall returned to the grounds before the entrance to the maze, patrolling like they were supposed to be. They couldn't stay with Olivia, it already looked suspicious when they were with her for those few minutes when she had that vision. Staying with her any longer would give people the opportunity to ask questions.
Waiting for Harry and Cedric's return was painful. No one seemed to be none the wiser that there were bigger forces in play, that Harry and Cedric weren't still navigating the maze but stuck in a graveyard somewhere facing god knows what danger.
Or at least that was what Olivia was assuming until someone told her that they'd both been located inside the maze.
She tried to preform Legilimency on Harry and Cedric to see if she could find them but it didn't work. She didn't expect it to but she felt like she had to try something.
Her mind was running at a million miles an hour while she tried to understand everything she had seen in her vision. She recalled the nightmares she'd had about that graveyard but even then, nothing stood out to her. In her nightmares it had just been her walking through the grounds in the dead of night, thick fog curling at her ankles. There was that one nightmare where she was being chased by something and she had seen a cloaked figure in the distance but she had scared herself awake before anything happened.
But that vision? There wasn't much to unpack. The Tri-Wizard cup was a portkey meaning someone had most likely bewitched it. Someone had gotten into the maze between Professor Moody hiding it and the champions entering. Or maybe whoever had cursed Viktor had done it with the intention of getting him to enchant it? Maybe, instead of fighting Harry and Cedric he was trying to stop Cedric from reaching the cup, making sure it was Harry who won...
It was a wild theory but it was a theory... one that made Olivia uneasy. It made the most sense. What was to say whoever had bewitched Krum was also the person who had bewitched Alex on the night of the Yule Ball? What if this person entered Harry's name in the tournament in the first place with the intention of Harry always winning and ending up in that graveyard?
It was like a lightbulb that exploded in Olivia's head. The realisation dawned upon her with sickening clarity and she gasped, her eyes widening. Had she really figured it out? Or at least a small part of it?
Without even really thinking she rose to her feet and began her decent down the stairs. Professor McGonagall was sitting on the front row of the stands, awfully close to Arthur Weasley and Amos Diggory, but she didn't care. She needed to speak with Professor McGonagall. It didn't matter if she looked suspicious or weird... the thought didn't even cross her mind in that moment.
People did see her. Not many of them gave her much thought—or even watched to see where she actually went—but they watched her for a brief glance. Only her friends focused on her, watching as she rushed down the stairs right to the very bottom. Draco and Blaise watched her, looking up the stairs and wondering where she'd come from, wondered where she was going.
Hermione and Ron saw her and looked to each other sharing a nervous glance as they beheld the expression on her face. Whatever it was, it wasn't good. Not at all.
