(Y/N) sat on the library sofa, legs curled against her chest and her fingers brushing against the old pages of her favourite book.

The library door swung open with a crash, causing (Y/N) to flinch slightly. She glanced up from her novel, her eyes meeting a pair of blue ones. Bucky's gaze on her held strong as he waltzed towards her. She rolled her eyes, trying to ignore him as she tried to concentrate once more.

"Hey (Y/N)!" He beamed. The girl simply grunted in reply, too caught up in her book to actually try and make conversation. "What are you reading?"

(Y/N) glanced up at him. Her eyes scanning his features for a second before returning to the worn pages. "A book," she stated blankly.

Bucky frowned. His eyebrows furrowing slightly at her lack of response. He sat for a few seconds, clamping his hands together, his eyes trained on (Y/N)'s relaxed figure. He smirked, thinking of ways to get your attention.

(Y/N) looked up at him. Eyeing his smirking physique suspiciously but before she could ask what he was thinking, his hand shot out and snatched the book from her grasp. She shot up causing Bucky to laugh silently, covering it up with a smile. He stood. His tall figure towering over her.

"Bucky, give me my book back!" She whined, reaching to grab it but failing.

"I don't think so, doll. You've been sitting here, reading all day. I think you need to..." He paused, a mischievous gleam in his eyes.

".... Stretch your legs." He continued, stepping closer to the window, one hand on the window pane, the other holding the book. (Y/N)'s eyes widened.

"James, don't you even think about it."

"Ooh, you used my real name, you must really love this book." He smirked, opening the window, his eyes never leaving hers.

"Buck, I swear if you drop it I'll-"

"You'll what?" He chuckled, his grip letting up slightly on the novel, causing it to fall from his grasp and plummet 23 storey's down.

(Y/N)'s eyes widened as she scurried past the smiling soldier and leaned out the window, watching as her book crashed onto the hard concrete with a splat. She turned, her eyes narrowing at the back of Bucky's head, undoubtedly, mentally shooting him with mind lasers.

"Oh, you are so dead, Barnes!" She yelled at his retreating figure. He turned around, poking his tongue out childishly, before slipping out the door. She chased after him, a playful smirk on her lips.
