Y/N's hand slid into the black burlap bag that was held tightly in Tony's grasp. Her fingers dancing across the various items within the sack with barely contained curiosity.

"Time to pick something, sweetheart." Tony said with a smile as he eyed the girl.

"Don't rush me, Stark." She quipped back with a gentle roll of her eyes. "I'm trying to decide my fate here."

Y/N dug her hand in deeper, past the pointed tip of what she guessed was an arrowhead and beyond the cylindrical shape of a test tube. Her searching fingers recoiling slightly upon reaching something that was cold and wet and entirely not what she expected to find. Tugging it free from the bag she held it up for the group to see.

"An ice cube?" She questioned, her eyes finding Tony's again. "Seriously, Tony. Now everything else in the bag is going to be wet."

Tony merely shrugged, taking a seat on the couch next to Natasha as he took a heavy sip of his drink. "I couldn't think of anything better to embody Capsicle." He turned to Steve. "Cap!" He grinned. "You're up!"

Steve looked at Y/N, the tips of his ears turning pink as he admired her with adore filled, yet nervous eyes. "Yeah, okay, sure. Let's go, Y/N." Shuffling with heavy feet and slight trepidation, Steve made his way over to the darkened closet, opening the door with a shaking hand for Y/N to enter first.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Steve?" Her voice was quiet as she took a step into the dim space. The apprehension he seemed to be having, a sharp dagger poking at the girls heart. Instead of showing her dismay, she smiled gently at the man in front of her, her eyes softened at the sight of his nervousness. Slowly she placed her hand over his. His grip on the door frame tightening at the contact. "It's okay if you don't."

"I'm fine." He reassured, but she couldn't quite figure out if he was talking to her or more so himself. "Trust me."

"I can't believe Steve is finally going to get some! It's only taken him ninety years!" Tony smirked as he pushed Steve into the closet and closed the door with a resounding click of the lock. "Okay kids, seven minutes start now."

The closet was dark and small and Steve almost seemed too close but somehow Y/N wanted him to be closer. Steve's hands were held tightly against his sides, his eyes grazing everywhere but her.

"I'm sorry, Y/N." Steve's voice was small and unsure. His body was stiff as he tried to back into the wall and as far away from her as possible. Afraid that if he touched her, he would come undone.

"Why are you sorry, Steve? This is clearly Tony's fault." Y/N adjusted her footing, her foot sliding to plant firmly between the soldiers feet as to keep her balance. "Why do we have such tiny closets?"

Y/N's leg brushed gently against Steve's, unintentional, of course but still he shuddered slightly. "I'm sorry." He said again, almost automatically. His face now held a steady pink blush across his cheeks that he hoped she couldn't see in the darkness.

Y/N sighed."Steve, you can stop apologizing."

"I'm sor-" Even in the dark he could see the pointed look Y/N was giving him. He shuffled nervously, his hand rubbing the back of his neck. "Okay I'll stop. You just make nervous."

"Why do I make you nervous? It's just me, Steve."

"Yeah, that's the problem." He mumbled under his breath. "What are you meant to do in seven minutes of heaven? Tony wasn't really forthcoming with the parameters of the game."

"You've never played before?" Y/N didn't mean for it to come out as surprised sounding as it did. She was just genuinely shocked because, well, he's Steve Rogers. Need she say more?

"I don't think it was around during my time, doll." He chuckled. "And if it was, I was never invited to play. I wasn't exactly a lady killer back in the day."

Y/N smiled softly at him, her hand coming to rest on his shoulder for support. "You didn't miss out on much, trust me. The entire game is a ruse invented by horny teenagers to satisfy their hormonal needs through making out."

Steve glanced at her hand on his arm. His fingers tingled as he laid them atop of hers. "I'd still like to play, even if it's only once." He turned his gaze to hers, a small hopeful smile on his lips as he regarded her in the limited light. "That's if you're okay with-" He trailed off as he stepped closer.

"Kissing you?" She finished, her voice breathy and short. Her tongue darted over her bottom lip, and Steve found himself wanting nothing more than knowing how her lips tasted.

"Yeah." Steve replied readily, his hands reaching up to rest gently on her waist, pulling her closer. "Can I kiss you, Y/N?" His voice was soft, and sweet and Y/N was caught up in how lustful he sounded.

Her gaze dropped down to his lips before rising to his eyes again. She nodded, slowly but decisively. And Steve didn't waste any more time, swiftly closing the gap with a smooth tug of her body closer to his. The kiss was slow and unsure and possibly a little clumsy. Their lips out of sync and out of practice and the closet was still entirely too small, especially for the enthusiasm that Steve had kissed her back with when her tongue swiped over his bottom lip. But, ultimately, it was perfect.

Maybe, sometime down the line in their relationship, Y/N will tease him about how awful of a kisser he was, but they'd both know that she was lying.

They both pulled away at the sound of the door unlocking. Panting slightly, hair messy and swollen lips, limbs still entangled and hands still grasping each other.

Steve's thumb swept over her bottom lip, his fingers spread across her neck. He pulled her close again, his forehead resting against hers. His gaze steadily holding hers. "This isn't how I imagined our first kiss would be."

"Really?" Y/N laughed, her hand sliding down to intertwine their fingers as light suddenly flooded the dim space. "I pictured nothing less."
