As commonly dull as that phrase was, there was no denying the amount of times it has been applied in everyday life— such as the predicament that Mina was in at the moment. If she had taken the gratifying freedom of being able to freshen herself in the bathroom, then in return was the distress of being lost inside Sendai's gymnasium. The girl had stood on the sidelines, watching as a few people pass by.
She was scared all over again, the anxiety of talking to random strangers spreading across her chest like a wildfire. Her hands grew clammy, fidgeting them behind her back to appease the emotions she had but it did little. The place was a little bigger than she had thought and the halls— don't even get her started on that.
Mina didn't have anyone's phone number aside from the Ukai family, but if she were to bother Ukai who was busily attending to his own students then she would've felt bad. Plus, how could she call his parents to come just for them to simply assist her into finding Takinoue and Shimada? That was just plain ridiculous in her mind.
Instead, the brunette walked around until she stumbled upon a vending machine right next to a pair of glass doors. A bench was placed beside it and enticingly enough, Mina sat on it with a sullen look on her face. Was this the end to her whole Volleyball trip? Not even a mere glimpse of the game that was going to unfold.
No, she shouldn't be so dramatic. She slapped her cheeks enough for it to turn rosy red, standing up with a more determined expression on her visage.
That's right! Dealing with complications like this was childish. She was already in high-school for heavens sake; if sitting glumly was going to help then everyone would've been rid of their problems. Mina firmly nodded, legs reaching for a stride but she stopped to turn at the vending machine within her presence.
