DAY IN AND OUT, Kageyama followed a specific routine everyday while he stayed at the training camp.
Train in the morning, free time, train in the afternoon, another free time, and then the last training session in the evening— that was the day to day basis. Within those free times, he would write on his little volleyball journal or take the moment take care of his nails; and if not that, then he would go about to call Mina and let her know how his day was going and vice versa. Sometimes, the call would last a little longer and it would eat up his meal times but that was fine since he was quite the good listener, replying a sentence or two every once in awhile as the girl continued to chatter.
And of course, this doesn't go unnoticed by the other athletes who have sensed the change in demeanour whenever Kageyama was on his phone. Chigaya Eikichi, a first-year student who always sat with Kageyama for meals was the first to notice this. Whenever the phone rings, the exhaustion and callousness he feels from the raven haired male shifts within a moment. The air around him feels lighter and there's a gleam of... somewhat kindness in his eyes when he sees the name on the phone. Often times, Kageyama would excuse himself from the dinner table and leave for somewhere recluse.
Which, nosy as he was, Chigaya couldn't help but be curious. Hence after dinner as many have washed up and preparing for bed, he slowly makes his way to Kageyama's side who was busily writing on his journal again. Chigaya crosses his hands behind his back and speaks.
"You almost lost your dinner if you didn't eat it all up in five minutes, Kageyama," The said male turns around from the voice. "What's got you all busy, hm? Don't tell me your girlfriend's been calling you every night."
He throws it out there as if it was a bait, a half-hearted joke which didn't really have much hopes to it. Chigaya expects Kageyama to be a little annoyed by the joke but rather, the raven haired male simply nods as if it was nothing more than a fact.
