"WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT?"
Mina snaps out of her thoughts when she feels a soft tap on her cheek, blinking before she looks up to see Kageyama's inquisitive gaze on her. When a soft chime goes off, it takes her a moment to recollect that they were both at Sakanoshita Market, working behind the counter while the Ukai family was away. An older man comes in and they gave him their greetings, Mina mumbled doing so. While it was her alone who was originally tending the store, Kageyama showed up without notice, brushing off the flecks of snow that piled up on his hair. It was then that she recruited him to work as well—her simply sitting down while her thoughts ran amok while he, without any question or hesitation, tended the customers and rang in their purchases after he was taught. He was used to the sight of it now, considering he'd been on this side of the counter and watched how Mina's always done it.
It was an odd sight considering the raven haired male had no experience in customer service, but he slowly got the hang of it after an hour, merely greeting them, packing their items, giving back their change, and sending them off with his curt bow.
Her, on the other hand, leaned back against the wall while her gaze zeroed in on her socks, busily staring at the childish patterns on it. Hundreds of thoughts were running through the girl's mind, mostly a recap of what happened throughout the weeks.
Following their intense and emotional exchange a few days ago, Mina and Kageyama returned to the Ukai household to celebrate, albeit not immediately since Mina needed time to soothe her swollen eyes. The night turned out to be lively and memorable, she recalls. The secret no longer felt like it was a heavy weight in her chest, but was something that she now carried with pride and happiness, telling her family back home, Yachi and her club members about her potential chance to pursue music professionally. The brunette was met with loud gasps and squeals, on separate occasions.
Echoes of screams and claps from her club members ensued in the club room before Goichi pulled her into a bear hug. Their club president then proceeded to say that Mina was going to be the reason why the legacy of their guitar club was going to live on for decades. On top of that, when she informed Yachi, the blonde girl initially squealed with joy before her emotions shifted, and tears of happiness welled up as she urged Mina never to forget her.
