THE FIRST DAYOF THE NEW YEAR.
Mina exhales slowly, warm breath escaping her lips as her boot absentmindedly presses into the snow, searching for the pavement beneath. The weather today wasn't too awful that she needed to layer so much underneath her jacket, but the gloomy weather conditions didn't look promising either. No matter that, it didn't stop her and the other first years from going to the local shrine to pray for victory in the upcoming games, and to experience her very first Hatsumōde.
Hinata, of course, initiated the whole thing with a an energetic message and nearly everyone agreed to it except for Tsukishima and Kageyama; though the latter did change his mind quite easily when Mina told him to come with them. The tall blonde on the other hand couldn't bother to even give a single response and left them to decide that his silence alone was an answer. So here she was, standing outside the Sakanoshita Market while she waits for Kageyama. From her pocket, she pulls out a small mirror to adjust the hair-clip that had been pinning her bangs to the side— a Christmas gift she received from him the night they celebrated his birthday.
"I told you to wait inside." A voice pipes up.
"Oh my gosh!"
Surprised, Mina nearly drops the mirror when she glances over with startled eyes, only to see Kageyama with a disapproving look. She exhaled a sigh of relief and quickly stashed the item back into her pocket. With excited steps, she approached the raven haired male and playfully linked her arm through his. Then, she gestures to her hair-clip, smiling as she says, "Cute, right?"
"Yeah, yeah," He mumbles passively while he untangles the scarf from around his neck, then attempts to wrap it around hers, albeit somewhat clumsily. His main concern right now was the fact that Mina was starting to have a poor habit of waiting outside in the cold for him. "How long were you standing out here?"
"Only five minutes," The brunette shrugs, helping him with the scarf as she mutters a quick thanks. "Are they already waiting for us at the shrine?"
