Why Me?

Chapter 4

After one hour later.

"Ok class. Today you're going to have a new friend. Come on in Mia." said the teacher. I walk in the class, and stood in front of everybody. I look at everybody in my new class. Ok I have a bad habit of eyeing everybody. Everybody I meant. There's a red-haired guy, the cool one, a beautiful girl... Yeah just like the normal one so I don't think I have any problem to adapt here.

"Well Mia, why don't you introduce yourself to the class?" said the teacher making me realize that I was still in front of these people. I cleared my throat for a second and...

"Hi I'm Mia Adams. Hope we can get along well." then I heard someone snickered at me.

"Who would want to get along with you human? You're not even the same level as us. Jerk!" said the red-haired guy. I look at him in disbelief. What?! Did he just called me jerk?! Ok that's no way to call me.

Then suddenly most of them began to jeer with him. "Yea, why should she be here? She's only a human!" "Human cannot be here. Well we are all humans but we are special. Not like her! Some dumb plain girl like her doesn't even fit here!"

'Dumb?! Did they just called me dumb?! And plain? I'm not that plain! Oh this is getting too far!'

While the teacher tries to calm the students, my chest feels like it's starting to burn. My sight suddenly became a little blurry and my hands tremble. I'm not fainting.'What's happening to me?'

I am still struggling myself from feeling this weird feeling in me when I see my necklace. I look at the jade. Somehow it looks really calming to me and it chilled me down. I took a deep breath and look at my classmates.

"Everybody!" the teacher and the students became quiet. "I know that I am not special like all of you. And even I don't know why you called yourselves special cause I'm new here but I'm here not because I want to become something special. NO! I'm here to learn with all of you. Study with all of you. And continue my teenager life. That's all why I'm here." then I pause for a moment. The class was definitely quiet. They are listening to me. Awesome!

"W...well Mia thanks for your introduction. You may seat next to...HAH! There. Next to Alex over there. Alex you wouldn't mind would you?" I look at this Alex and he give the ok sign.

As I am walking through my other classmates, somebody tripped me on purpose. I was about to fall but I felt somebody's hand on my waist,stopping me from landing on the floor. The person helps me to stand up and I got to see who it is. It is Alex.

"Are you hurt?" he said. Did I mention that this guy is totally handsome. He has this blue-ish dark hair,his eyes are the colour of the sky,his skin is fair and his body shape is perfect. Not too fat and not too skinny. But still, not my type. Just kidding.

"Yea I'm fine. Thanks. A lot." he smiled and nod. "Hey Alex! Why are you helping that pathetic human? Are you even in your mind?" said a girl. Probably likes Alex I suppose. "Why can't I? It's not against the law to help a classmate,isn't it?"the girl seems angry and sit on her seat with a huff.

Alex just giggle and we sit on our seats. Class starts. Normally.

After the first period

"Hey umm...Mia right?" I nod at him."Well I'm really sorry for what has happened just now. I just umm...you know sorry behalf of them."he scratch his head while saying that. Makes him looks cute.

"Nah. It's nothing. After all, why are you apologyzing anyway? I should be thanking you for saving my face from kissing the floor just now." he laugh when I said that.
