I am [Y/N] [L/N]. Now 9 years old, I travel aimlessly through land and sea. Trying to survive my short life. Thankfully, I live none the less. I felt everything slip by me; I never felt right...

Scavenging for berries is really fun. No joke. I prefer to scavenge berries rather than fishing, why? Well, 1) Berries are hard to find meaning I could sight see the island whilst I search for them, 2) Berries have more taste than bland fishes and lastly--actually, there's nothing more I can think of.

"It's hard to walk without a dragon..." I exasperated, my head low as I continue to walk through shrubs and bushes.

I stopped at my tracks and looked up on a steep mountain rather what looks like a high cliff, just before me. I gave a lazy shrug and put my basket of berries on my back and started to climb. I was wearing a thick brown tunic with a leather belt around it, black leggings, boots that's made in fur and toughest skin of a dead dragon and lastly a yak's fur as my cloak to hide me from the cold air.

Sigh. "...Almost there"

You heard me right, I don't have a dragon-- well, not yet. It's not that I can't find one, it's just that I haven't met the right one for me.
There are so many dragons that I have befriended these past few years traveling alone, but I haven't truly feel as if they were family. Though, it doesn't made me falter on meeting a dragon that I can call as a friend or even family.

"Family..." I unconciously said out loud.

'Did I have one?...'

I shake my head as I continue to climb the mountain. It was almost night time, so I quicken my phase. Arriving at the top, I found a bush having fresh berries on it, delicious ripe red berries.

My stomach growl.

"Come to mama, you berries" I growled at my soon to be food.

I picked them one by one checking if its poison berries or not. Fortunately for me they are not. I munched on the berries I found and sit on the edge of the cliff watching the sun slowly setting as the bright moon change in to the view.

Suddenly, I felt a nudge from my arm and saw a Terrible Terror trying to slip into my arms. I giggled at the sight.

I pet it's head gently and look back up."It would be so beautiful up there..."

This continue for who knows long until the skies turned dark and stars started to reappear one by one. I looked at my basket and saw I have more berries to spare. I put the little dragon on the ground and started to stretch so I can finally climb down.

"Bye, bye little one" I whispered to the dragon and start my journey back down.

In the midst of my climb back down, I noticed an array of beautiful lights on the dark sky as if dancing as it shines. My eyes lingered at the sight. It would be so amazing to fly up and see it up close. I slowly refocus on the task at hand remembered that I'm in the middle of climbing down.

Then something caught my eyes. A flash of a dim glow falling down the skies with an almost inaudible screech of pain. I furrowed at the sight and made quick jump off the side of the mountain.(It's just a 10 feet fall, there's nothing really dangerous)

After landing safely on the ground, I snap back at falling figure and dash to it's direction. Almost tripping along the way, I saw I got closer than ever on it. I squint my eyes as I continue to run over it.

"A-A dragon...!?" I exasperated, my lungs almost running out of air.

With my little arms I tried to catch the big creature, trying to lessen it's impact on the ground. Amazingly, I caught the dragon though I received a very harsh impact on the ground.
