The Night Fury

Dawn came around.

You're carrying a basket full of different kinds of fishes while following Hiccup. You two are going to see Toothless and for Hiccup to finally introduce you both with each other. You're ecstatic and the scrawny teen couldn't just not adore that. Adore? Yes, he adored your childish side of yours. It is a rare sight from the first time you and Hiccup met.

"Are we there yet?" You asked giddily for the umpteenth time since this early morning.

Hiccup chuckled. He could practically see the sparkle through the holes of your mask. "Almost."

Five minutes later when Hiccup finally stop his tracks and tells you the very words you were eager to hear. "We're here." Hiccup motions to a cove. You followed Hiccup through the narrow pathway down to the cove. You were ready to see Toothless but you look around the cove and you can't see the Night Fury.

Turning around to question the dragon's owner, you see Hiccup holding what seems to be a scale. He click the top of the scale. You're head tilted in question, a habit you gain from the dragons you grew up with. But before you could speak, you see a curious cat-like dragon came out the shadows.

"Hey, Toothless." Hiccup called out to the black dragon.

For the first time in the longest time, you saw another true bond between a dragon and human. Behind the large coat that hides your figure, your hand traveled to your chest. It's a precious sight to see. This sentimental scene though abruptly stopped when Toothless finally realized your presence.

SCREECH.

Toothless went in front of Hiccup and growled at your form. "W-woah! Toothless, [Y|N]'s a--"

Any normal and sane person would just run and hide from the "unholy offspring". Oh, but you were nothing like a normal human nor sane; You had experience. An unfathomable experiences with dragons.

You calmly put down the huge basket of fishes and walk towards the two. Toothless growled even more, his wings half-open completely hiding Hiccup.

GROWL.

You stopped a good distance between you and Toothless. An arm away, if you want to be specific. You could hear the crisp hiss from Toothless. You closed your eyes and sat down on your knees.

You removed your mask and lock gazes with Toothless.

"Hey, everythings alright..." You assured the dragon. Your [E|C] irises we're warm and soft towards the night fury. "I won't hurt you or Hiccup...I'm a friend."

Steadily, you reach out to Toothless's snout and stop mid-way.

Will he trust you or not?

The said dragon endearingly answered the question for you.

He stared at your eyes for a while when his eyes dilated and put his snout onto your palm. He trusted you and for that, you smiled the biggest smile.

Not even hesitating, you put your hands on both sides of Toothless cheek and guided his head forward. You gently put your forehead on top.

"Thank you..." You whispered specifically for Toothless, nuzzling the dragon. "Thank you for trusting Hiccup and me."

"-Hey! Toothless don't do anything..." Hiccup trailed off as he finally dodge large wings of his dragon.

He stopped and left flabbergasted.

"Woah..."
