Soft voices echoed inside the Great Hall. Hiccup pointing at letters and words as he also jot down notes on the book of dragons. This continue so on and so fort until [Y|N] speak out.

"Hiccup..." The masked teen called out who stopped writing her name on a paper that Hiccup provided her.

Hiccup hummed, continuing to write down on the Night Fury page.

[Y|N] look back down at her progress in writing and reading on the piece of paper. Staring blankly at it. "Why do you like Astrid?"

"W-what...?!" Hiccup suddenly stopped whatever he was doing, shock prominent on his face. He slowly turn towards [Y|N]. "What a-are you talking about? Ha ha h-ha..."

The taller of the two, prop her arms on the table and laid her head on it as support.

"Hiccup. I'm not that much of an idiot to the point of me not noticing how you get easily nervous when she's around. Or the fact you sadly try to impress her...So back to my question; Why like her?"

Hiccup opened his mouth to answer [Y|N]'s question, but, nothing came to mind. Huh, why did he like Astrid?

Sure there was how she manage herself and how calm collected she can be - at times - but other than that there was no deep explanation to his infatuation for the girl.

"I..." Hiccup started, silent for a second. He turned to lock with awaiting [E|C] hues. "I don't know..."

"Can we just continue, [Y|N]? This isn't..." Hiccup trailed off, feeling weird and queasy at the topic.

[Y|N] got the message and change the topic. She looked at her reviewer. "Uh, what does this word say Hiccup?"

"Oh, that's..."

The next day came for dragon training. And there was a maze.

You let out a sigh. "Here we go..."

The training started once Gobber closed the gates of the arena. Hiccup was in his thoughts, staring at the dragon on the shield. He was distracted.

"You know, I just happened to notice the book had nothing about Night Furies. Is there another book or a sequel? Maybe a little Night Fury pamphlet?" Hiccup asks Gobber, you only listened beside him also holding a shield.

Then, you saw Hiccup's axe was ripped off from his belt. Both in sync, you two see a pair of eyes looking back at you both. Deadly Nadder. Without a skip of beat, you and Hiccup started run inside the maze; Hiccup being he is and you only following him.

After the Gronckle fiasco, you make sure not to laze around too much.

"Today, is all about attack." Gobber tells you all from above the arena. " Nadders are quick and light on their feet. Your job is to be quicker and lighter."

Things were going...somewhat well. Unfortunately for you, it didn't last long. You got separated from Hiccup, due to Fishlegs going in between the two of you. You internally groaned as you saw him grab a wall from the maze as a shield who complained, "I'm really beginning to question your teaching methods!"

"How is he so strong but can't properly face a Nadder?" You muttered under your breath. Unconsciously, you put your dominant hand on your hip while tilting your head at the scene. "Just...how?"

"Look for it's blind spot. Every dragon has one. Find it, hide in it, and strike." Gobber instructed.

To say that today's dragon training was going well, is an overstatement.

Everything's going downhill by now.

Starting off with Hiccup who still continues to ask further about Night Furies, the twins who never stop on bickering, and until to Snotlout who also never stop failing to try and win over Astrid.

Everything was in a discord, that's for certain.

" They probably take the daytime off. You know, like a cat. Has anyone ever seen one napping?" Hiccup continue to push forward on the matter which Gobber's face shows he was done with everything. He was about to open his mouth but abruptly stopped.

His gaze look passed Hiccup, his face turns to worry. "Hiccup!"

"-Hiccup!" Astrid yells at Hiccup and immediately jumps on top of him from jumping off the falling walls.

The two were in a knot. Tangled with each other. Hiccup was in plain shock while Astrid doesn't look too happy. Astrid squirmed to escape from the mess she got herself into (a.k.a Hiccup).

"Ooh! Love in the battlefield!" Tuffnut jeers.

"She could do better." Ruffnut told her twin brother.

The Nadder saw them and ran towards, head on. Hiccup and Astrid begins to struggle even more.

" Just...let me....why don't you-" Hiccup tries to say as he also tries to help the girl viking off of him.

Astrid only throw daggers at the male as she use all her might to get her axe out from Hiccup's shield. She puts half of her weight on the boy's face and successfully get herself off of Hiccup and fully stood on her feet.

The blonde puts a foot on Hiccup's chest then yank it off of the male's grasp and hurled it towards to the Deadly Nadder.

But there was no dragon.

And the axe stuck on the shield that Astrid threw, is caught by a single hand.

"This is no need." [Y|N] nonchalantly says, smashing the weapon on the ground and shattering the shield. "I've already taken care of the Nadder."

"Well...done, [Y|N]." Gobber told the yak cloak covered teen, stunned. The unidentified girl, only nod acknowledgement towards Gobber.

The teacher was too focus on Hiccup and Astrid, that he hadn't notice that [Y|N] wrangled the Nadder to it's cage. Same goes for the other teens. They were in pure shock, to say the least.

Gobber waddle off to check if the lock on the cage was secure. All eyes were on the masked teen who leisurely gave Astrid (who was still winded) her axe back and walk towards Hiccup to help him stand back up. All eyes then fall upon him; Astrid, especially.

"Is this some kind of joke to you? Our parents' war is about to become ours. Figure out which side you're in." Astrid snaps and turned next towards who was beside the auburn teen. " And you...Don't baby him, you're not his mother."

Astrid walks away but before she could walk completely out of the arena, a booming voice caught her ears. "I'm not babying him,"

"...I'm just being a normal and decent human that isn't afraid to give a helping hand. That most of you, can't even do..."
