It'd only been a week since the birth of the boys, and April had already decided that she'd had enough. After multiple days spent changing four nappies every few hours, getting less than three hours of sleep per night and trying to maintain a relatively organised schedule, she'd been left dishevelled and exhausted.
It didn't help that Casey was no longer available for assistance during the day, having started full time work to earn for enough money to compensate for the sudden addition of four to the household.

Reaching into the sink, April fished out a bottle, drying it off before stuffing in some formula power.
She resorted to the use of baby milk after having spent half a day attempting to breastfeed all four babies every 2 hours.
It was hard enough seeding to the need of a single infant, let alone quadruplets.

The distant gurgle of a baby drew April out of her thoughts, leaving her slightly dazed as she racked her brains, trying to remember her schedule.
The lack of sleep had taken its toll, and she was beginning to feel like a zombie, shuffling around the apartment, cleaning up after the dribbling newborns.
Another factor to her stress was the fact she had to be on constant vigilance of Leo's condition. One minute spent with her back turned could be the minute his heart fails.

Dragging her feet towards the baby mat, April crouched down next to boys, watching as they lay on their stomachs, blinking wildly, unable to move.

She's noticed, the faint yet prominently forming of colours of the boys' eyes. While each had started off with either grey or dim blue eyes, they each now sported the same coloured eyes they'd had in they're previous lives.

They're hair was also growing slightly, and as the colours defined themselves more, she noticed that presently, Mikey's hair was blonde, Raph's was a reddish brown, Donnie's was dark brown and Leo's was also a soft brown with stands of gold.

She'd stuck to dressing each of them in their assigned colours, purchasing onesies of different designs as to define each baby more due to the fact that presently, she'd mixed them up more than once.
As time went by she just hoped they would live the lives they deserved...
