I sat in the waiting room, twiddling my thumbs idly as I waited for my results. After taking in my symptoms, the GP had asked to do some tests to find what was causing the nausea.
Suddenly the speaker chimed in.
"April O'Neil is to return to room 017." I stood quickly, grabbing my bag and retreating to the said room.
Dr Raj, the same Dr taking my samples, was seated at a computed, gesturing for me to join him.
"Hello again Miss O'Neil," he began softly, as though trying to prepare me for what he's about to reveal.
"Now, I've retested your samples multiple times, and every test has appeared positive..."
I nodded, urging him on.
"Well, congratulations Miss O'Neil! You are a mother to quadruplets!"
I froze.
"W-what..." I almost chocked on my own breath, eyes wide in disbelief.
"N-no you must have done something wrong...that's I-impossible..."
He patted my hand gently.
"All tests were positive miss O'Neil..
your pregnant.."
