That Hate

Bonus Chapter 3

I looked over the food court and gulped. Great,  just great. I groaned softly as I caught sight of Sierra and Fiena.  With HER. I was nervous about talking to her. After she went off the way she did after I sent her back a few days ago, I was not too keen to be in her presence. Seeing me might make her hate me more. But I couldn't deny the quickening of my heartbeat at the sight of her. I hate the fact that looking at her turns my knees to jelly. 

"Hey, it's Seth! Seth, over here!" Fiena called. I took a deep breath and braced myself. Here we go. Sarah held my arm and looked over at the two brunettes waving at us. I pulled her with me as I neared them, my heartbeat grew steadily faster as I stole a look at Kay, who was not looking at me. I sighed and decided to just be nice. Or civil. For once.

"Hey, Seth! What are you doing here?" Sierra asked. I looked at Sierra and Fienna and threw a small smile. I couldn't, for the life of me, look at HER. Like, my eyes would bleed or something. I could feel her stabbing stare at me, but I just couldn't. At least not until I eat something . Her stare really sapped me off my energy.

"Oh, actually we're looking for a seat but there seems to be none." I managed to croak out, my eyes veering towards her, finally. It would be too weird if I avoid looking at her. Everybody would think I had a problem with Kay, when it couldn't be farther from the truth. It's really weird actually. I really, really want to look at her. I mean, I miss her. There's nothing I want more than to look at her.  And I was a little surprised to see her face free from hostility and the hint of blush on her smooth cheeks. Wait, she didn't look wary to see me..A little ray of hope started in me. I am so whipped it's not even funny.

"Here, you can join us. That is, if it's ok? You know, if your date doesn't mind." Fienna piped in with a smile. Yes, thank you Fiena! I mentally celebrated in my head. 

"Oh, hey, I'm sure she doesn't mind. What about, um, Kay? You mind if we join you?" I asked, a little shakily, as I finally looked at her. Her clear brown eyes finally looking at me. I met her gaze, feeling weird goosebumps starting to prickle my skin. A familiar mixture of warm feelings were welling up in the pit of my stomach. Why does she have to be so hot?! I almost slapped myself on the head when Kay suddenly cleared her throat and just nodded with a small smile, and my tummy felt like it seized up. She smiled at me?!. I smiled back a little and pulled Sarah to sit beside me. Kay  was right opposite me and was flanked between Sierra and Fienna.

"So, this is Sarah-" I started to say when Sarah cut in.

"His girlfriend," She said in a throaty voice as she offered her hand to shake theirs. Kay looked surprised and took her hand hesitantly. I rolled my eyes.

"Oh, your girlfriend..? Well, you're a dark horse.." Sierra said as she and Fienna gave each other knowing looks.

"Yeah right. Sarah's my sister. She's 17." I said smoothly as I slapped her shoulder softly. She yelped a bit and glared at me. Then she flashed a mischievous smile at the girls.  They giggled.  They seemed to like her a lot!

"I was just kidding. Gotta filter skanks from real women like you guys, you know." Sarah said casually. I felt like strangling her.

Sierra and Fienna burst out laughing.

"Haha, funny. So, this is Sierra, my classmate, Fiena her roommate. And Kay-" I introduced them to Sarah when she suddenly cut me off.

"Hey, you look familiar. Have we met?" Sarah said suddenly. My head whipped around to look at her as I frowned.

Kay looked at her,  mystified.  Suddenly,  Sarah turned to me. Suddenly her eyes lit. Oh, no..

"Hey,  Seth,  isn't she in all those pictures-"Sarah started to say and I panicked.  Fuck,  fuck!
