Beverly Marsh made it back home. She walked in the front door and tried to hurry past her dad, but he was blocking her way. He looked down at her.

"Hi, daddy." She said with her voice shaking.

"Hey Bevy, what ya got there?" He asked. He looked at the grocery bag she was carrying. "Just some things." She tried to walk past him but he moved in her way again. He grabbed the bag and looked in it. He looked at her and smiled eerily. He placed his cold hand on her cheek and lowered his posture to smell her hair. He played with her long, red ponytail. (A/N anyone else get creeped out by this scene?) Beverly just let it happen. "Tell me you're still my little girl.." He said, whispering.

"Yes, daddy." She replied. She was obviously uncomfortable. She went into the bathroom. She grabbed the scissors that were in the cabinet. She looked in the mirror at herself and turned on the water. Beverly started crying. She picked up the scissors and starting chopping her hair off.

"This is what you did. This is what you've become." She repeated to herself quietly. She was hacking away all of her long, beautiful, red hair. She didn't stop. All of the hair went down the drain. She stopped and looked up at herself, tears waterfalling down her cheek. She ran a hand through her hair.

She ran a hand through her hair

Bill and Y/n stood up.

"Ready?" Bill asked while walking to his bike. You raised an eyebrow. "For what?"

"The q-qu-quarry." Bill picked up his bike. He sat down on it. "Hop on." You hesitated. You really didn't want to go because of what just happened, but you decided to go anyway. You got on the back of his bike. You both rode to the quarry together. You figured the others were there, you were right. Once you reached the quarry, the others were already in their underwear looking down at the ground. "Hey, guys wait up!" Bill said while dropping his bike. You and Bill walked over to the others and Bill awkwardly took off everything but his underwear.

"You guys wanna play loogie?" Richie asked.

"Ew gross, no. I'm not." You said while sitting on an old log. You took off your shoes and socks. While the guys played, you took this time to undress to subtract the amount of attention you would've gotten. Eddie was the last to spit. It landed right in front of him.

"Oh my god that was terrible, I win!" Richie exclaimed. "You won?" Eddie asked. Richie nodded. "Did you see my loogie?" Eddie asked again. "Mine went the furthest! It goes by distance." Richie argued. "Mass, it's always been mass." Eddie and Richie started arguing as usual. "What the f--what is--what is mass?!"

"Who cares how far it goes? It only matters how cool it looks, like if it's green or white, or juicy and fat." Eddie went on. "You guys are disgusting." You said while listening to their argument. "Alright, who's going first?" Bill asked. They all looked down. You stood up. "I-I guess I will." All of the boys turned to look at you. All of them looked at you with wide eyes except Richie, obviously. "C'mon guys, that's my sister you're looking at," Richie said while pointing. You were blushing while looking at Bill. He was practically drooling. You started running and then you jumped off the cliff. You hit the water and looked up at them and gave them a thumbs up.

"I'll go too," Beverly said. While the boys were busy staring at you, they didn't even see Beverly. She removed her dress and ran past the boys. "Sissies!" She exclaimed. She hit the water. The boys all looked at each other. "What the fuck? Holy shit, we just got showed up by girls!" Richie exclaimed. They all jumped in and started splashing each other. You guys decided to play chicken. You got on top of Bill's shoulders and Richie got on top of Stanley's. Richie knocked you off of his shoulders, meaning he won. You all were laughing. Everything seemed peaceful for once. Nobody had to worry about anything. You and Bill swam away to watch the others play. You noticed him checking you out, but you didn't say anything. You looked at him but he looked away once he noticed you were looking at him. You smiled to yourself.

"Ah fuck! What was that?!" Richie asked, feeling something hit his foot. Bill went underwater to see. "It's a turtle." He replied. Everyone went underwater to look at it.

Everyone decided to stop and dry off. You and Beverly wanted to sundry on a rock, so that's what you did. All of the others dried off with a towel. You and Beverly laid down next to each other with sunglasses on. Richie turned on the boombox and the song "Bust A Move" by Young MC started to play. All of the guys started staring at Beverly and you basking in the sun. Richie wasn't staring at you, though, obviously. You were siblings, so that would be REALLY weird. You both felt staring so you both turned to look and ALL eyes were on you two. They all turned and gasped, pretending like they weren't doing anything. Bill bit his lip.

Richie reached into Ben's backpack. "News flash, Ben. School's out for summer!" He said in a horrible British accent. "Oh, that? That's not school stuff." Ben replied. Richie pulled out his poem he wrote Beverly. "Who sent you this?" Richie asked while laughing. "No one," Ben replied while snatching it forcefully out of his hands. He grabbed a folder with a bunch of printings of the Derry Newspaper. "What's with the history project?" Eddie asked. "Oh, it's not a history project. When I first moved here, I really didn't have anyone that I knew. So I just started spending time in the library."

The folder with the newspaper was passed around. You overheard their conversation. "You went to the library on purpose?" You asked. Ben sighed. "Oh, I wanna see," Beverly said while getting up. She went to go sit by Bill and you automatically felt a rush of jealousy overcome you. "What's the Blackspot?" Stan asked. "The Blackspot was some old nightclub that was burnt down by that racist cult," Eddie replied. Bill looked at Beverly and noticed a change. "Y-You-Your hair."

"Your hair is beautiful, Beverly," Ben said. Beverly smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Oh, right. Thanks." "Here, pass it," Richie said while holding out his hand. Bill gave him the folder. "Why is this all murders and missing kids?" He asked. "Derry's not like any town I've ever been in before. They did a study once and it turns out people die or disappear 6 times the national average." "You read that?" You asked. "That's just adults. Kids are worse..way, way worse. I've got more stuff if you wanna see it."

You got up and got dressed, as the other kids did too. You hopped on the back of Bill's bike and made your way to Ben's with the other losers.
