The Future is Magic

Old wounds bleed
When they never healed
You only thought
But today it revealed

Bandaids and doctors
Won't heal a bleeding heart
You have to suck it up
Before you rip apart

Tears and snot
Run down your face
You hide under blankets
Feeling out of place

They think they know
"She is strong"
"Her heart is stone"
You don't really belong

Truth is,
Your heart is tissue
But they are harsh
It's not their issue

They bash and beat you
You take every hit
You think your okay
But you tear bit by bit

Your face turns pale
It was once so bright
You want to go back
To when things were right

It's the past
You know this well
But the future is magic
So cast your spell.

Take another step
Then take a leap
Your wings will keep you
From eternal sleep.
