"Tae, are you off today? let's go somewhere" Vernon asked me through his phone.

"You are lucky that I'm off today. Sure, meet at our usual place at 3?"

"great, see you there" he ended the call.

It's has been a while since I last met Vernon. He was too busy with his home tutor and stuff. I miss my best friend.

My mom sent me there and I walk around in the mall alone before I called him back,

"Are you here yet?" I asked, looking around to him.

"Yeah, I'm right behind you"

I turned around to look at him and Vernon look at me with the brightest smile. I ran to him and hugged him.

"Hello, best friend" he ruffled my hair.

"Stop it!" I punched his shoulder to make him stop doing that.

"Yah! You are so brutal"

"Let's go shopping yay" I put my hands up like a happy kid getting what they want.

"childish" he laughed at me.

We went to some stores to buy clothes and some other random things. It was very fun because Vernon is a funny guy that you will always enjoy your time with him. There was not even a second of a silent moment between us.

I was busy choosing some dresses while looking around the store suddenly I saw an unexpected guy get into the entrance. I immediately turned around to cover myself.

Shit, shit, shit....

"Yah! Why did your face suddenly turn red?" he laughed at me but then he looked at behind me.

"Mingyu! What are you doing here?" they bro fist and talk as they haven't met for years and I was trying to escape myself by leaving the store, then someone called me,

I sighed.

"Tae! whoa, what an unexpected moment that we met here" he said excitedly. I turned around to look at him that are still in the store with Vernon. He smiled at me, and I can see his fangs. Haih, so cute.

"Yea, we are hanging out together actually" Vernon interrupted us. Vernon, I saw what you did here.

"Really? Cool then, can I join you guy?" he put back the shirt that he has been holding when he talked with Vernon just now and went back to us.

"Sure, Vernon and I are going to eat now," I said nervously.

"Yeah, let's go" Vernon pulled my hand and made me walk beside him.

"I thought it's going to just two of us," he said slowly to me to make sure Mingyu can't hear us.

"I was nervous, I'm so sorry" I apologized.

"Tae, what if we just eat there?" Mingyu interrupted us and pulled me to the restaurant that he pointed to.

I just follow him and leave Vernon behind. I can hear Vernon said,

"seriously hyung?" and he sighed. He pissed off.

Because of mingyu and I entered the restaurant first, mingyu take a seat beside me and made Vernon sit opposite me. Vernon seems to be so annoyed with his hyung and I can't do anything. I just sit there awkwardly.

after we get the foods that we just ordered, Mingyu started the conversation,

"Are guys dating each other? You guys look so close" Mingyu said as he had a sip of his white coffee, waiting for the both of us to answer his killing question.

"Yea-"

"No, we are just friend" I immediately cut Vernon's sentence. I'm sure he's trying to say yes.

Vernon looked so unsatisfied with my action. I know he's doing this the good of me but I just can't do this.

"Oh, great then"

Vernon is unsatisfied.

"What's so great about Tae is not in a relationship with anyone?" Vernon asked calmly and smirked. Oh no, Vernon what are you thinking you are doing now?

"What? nothing. What do you expect me to say when she answered she's not with you?" Mingyu smirked back, throwing fire at Vernon.

"Hyung, you have a girlfriend" yeah, there is it. He stated the important fact.

And that was the last sentence that anyone of us ever said at that meeting. We just keep on silence and I just eat our food awkwardly.

Mingyu asked for an excuse to going back home before Vernon and I decided to make a move too after we 'forcibly' greet him a goodbye.

I laid on my bed right away after I got into my room. I just feel that Vernon must very disappointed in me. It was all my fault.

I took my phone go to his contact to call him. I need to cool everything down. I just ruined our friendship.

"Vernon, listen to me. I'm really sorry. I should not let him join us at the first place because it was supposed to be just the two of us but I don't know what happened to my brain, it was freezing that I can't even think on that time. It's your fault too by the way because we are not dating okay but I know you did that to make everything easier for me. Okay screw me, I shouldn't blame people when I'm trying to apo-"

"aigoo, you are so cute when you are guilty" he laughed. Okay, that made me feel relief.

"you okay?" I asked.

"yea, after you apologized"

"yea that's my boy"

"I need to go to work tomorrow, goodnight I guess?"

"yea sure, goodnight best friend." He ended the phone call.

I look at the ceiling, thinking. why did I really want Mingyu to know that I'm not in a relationship with Vernon? is it because I think that I have a possibility for him to like me back? No tae, you are stupid. Of course, he won't have a chance for him to like you. That is just possible. End of the story.

Suddenly, my phone ringing for getting a new text.

I smiled staring at the text that I just received.

sometimes I imagine that she might actually like me back, but then i realized how pathetic that thought is. It hurts to know that someone like her would never want someone like me. Pretending to be her 'just friend's hurts more.

anything for you Tae, if you will be happy with Mingyu, I will let you go for our won goods.
