Monster

Yoongi kissed my knuckle and began to squeeze it.

"I'm sorry if I'm complicating you.." I breathed out. Despite oxygen being forced into my system, it is hard to breathe.

"Y/N, you don't complicate me, you never will. Again, this isn't your fault, stop blaming yourself." Yoongi said, allowing a tear to slip out and fall on my hand.

"Ah— I'm sorry." Yoongi apologized for crying. I lifted my free hand and wiped his tears away. "Don't cry, I promise I'll be strong for you." I held up my pinky. Yoongi started sniffing and wiped his tears away, then wrapped his pinky around my own, creating a promise. I weakly smiled at him, with my blurry vision, I could see a faint smile.

"I love you Yoongi.." I said with small breaths.
"I love you too Y/N." Yoongi kissed my knuckles again. We spent the last moments together before the doctor came back into the room.

"Well, I got back some papers. If you both would sign here please-" the doctor handed Yoongi a clipboard with a paper attached to it. Yoongi read through it before signing, papers were being flipped through.

"-According to documents, we believe that Ms. Y/N is better off somewhere with you most of the time. She would heal faster, her health would stay at a normal level, overall, she is more comfortable being near someone or something familiar to her." the doctor continued.

"So this paper is for?" Yoongi asked.
"This is basically you giving us permission to let you have an at home doctor. It's a doctor working like us, but you're able to call them anytime something happens and they'll arrive at your destination to do whatever is needed." My face lit up.

"Mr. Min isn't a professional doctor, and you need one—" the doctor smiled at me. I quickly turned my head Yoongi's direction, smiling at him as bright as I could.

"—but the doctor won't be assigned to you right away, they do have other patients. So the moment you sign this paper, doesn't clarify if the doctor will be with you immediately.", I was still happy.

All the sudden, everything was fading. The voices turned into ringing, blurry figures turned into even blurrier objects. The beeping then started to quicken beside me.

"Y/N!"
"Ma'am!"
Everything turned black once again. I couldn't see anything, but myself. What? I was on the floor crying by myself. It was me when I was a little girl!

I stood in place. Then, a crack appeared out of no where. The crack became bigger and longer. It drew closer to little me. Eventually it reached me, then my little screamed and fell. Out of instinct, I ran over to the crack and caught myself.

"Please don't let the monsters get me!"
"I won't! Just hold on tight!" I tried with all my strength to pull little me up, but she just became heavier.

"The monster is getting closer!"
"Where is the monster?!" I screamed.

She began to point at me and smile. The ends of her smile grew and bled. Her pupils became smaller. I screamed and let go to the girl.

I backed up as much as I could. Evil giggles could be heard. Out of no where, the girl began to crawl out of the crack.

"You're the monster." She said with a devilish voice.
"W-What do you mean?"
"You're your own monster." She drew closer, but I couldn't move but sit there frozen.
She pounced on me and I woke up. Heavy breathing could be heard with loud sobs.

"Y/N!" Yoongi's voice could be heard. I hugged his body so tightly, I was and still so scared.
"Shh.. I'm here, everything's okay." Yoongi began to rub the back of my head and stroke my back.

"I-I'm so scared..." I said in between sobs.

"I know, I know. You're safe with me now. Don't be scared."
