Dear Simon,

My grades are sorta dropping. The old me would care a lot but the new me with friends and a social life and a potential boyfriend didn't give two shits. I mean, this is a good thing, right?I'm not a nerd stuck in my room studying my ass off. I actually have reasons not to study. I took my SAT sophomore year unlike any of the other kids, just because I was such a nerd last year. I actually did really well, pulled through with a 2000. I heard loads of people got higher though. Del almost got a perfect score which is bullshit because we studied together. I found out just by passing by a conversation he was having with the girls I don't talk to, let alone mention in this diary anymore.

They have become so irrelevant to my life that I almost forgot their names. Anyway, slacking off after SATs is great because i'm pretty sure I can still get into a good college if I wanted to. Earlier today, I met the whole crew under the bleachers in the field. Me and Scarlet were watching the cheerleaders practice which turned out to be the funniest thing at the moment.

"Ready? Okay!" Scarlet mocked waving her red hair around, giggling like she was having the time of her life.

"I didn't even get a chance to answer." I laughed watching.

"Ready?" She said again with an enthusiastic face waiting for my response. Her mouth was open and both her hands were above her head holding imaginary pom-poms.

"Yes!" I said jumping up to tease with her.

"Okay!" We said in unison, giving the guys more than enough entertainment for lunch.

"We are cheerleaders can't you see.." Scarlet sang along with some leg movement.

"We are cheerleaders, we're who you wanna be!" I followed up with a horrible cartwheel and bad landing but kept my smile which literally killed Lincoln.

"We're so happy, we're so cool!" Scarlet jumped and clapped after her landing.

"We're the hottest in the school!" I completed. Me and Scar looked at each other laughing like idiots. "Gooooo RANGERS." We screamed!

The guys gave us a standing ovation. Blake had a smirk on his face and Chester and Kyle laughed and mumbled to each other.

"What are you guys talking about over there? Don't we make good cheerleaders?" She directed the statement to Kyle and Chester.

"The best." Chester said rolling his eyes.

"Definitely the prettiest." Lincoln added.

Scar took a bow and I curtsied. "We do it for the people." Scar insisted.

The rest of lunch went by way too fast. None of us ate since we planned to go to the Layout after school. The Layout was a restaurant that provided you with blankets and a spot in the grass while you ate their food. So pretty much a picnic, except you don't make the food, the blankets are way more comfortable and your view of the city is amazing.

It's one of the most expensive restaurants in town, but we get to eat there free since Chester's mom owns the store. I've never been there but the separated part of the park that they owned always looked more fun that wherever we were. As soon as we got there, a dark skinned thin lady with curly black hair approached us in a cute yellow sun dress and white pumps. Her legs were gorgeous and she didn't look a day over 20.

"Is that your mom, Ches?" I asked completely surprised at her youth.

The young lady slapped Chester over the head. "Bruh, just because you can eat for free doesn't mean you bring the whole high school to the restaurant." I could tell it was a Caribbean accent, but I couldn't tell what island she was from.
