You were young, innocent, and full of hope.

You had a future ahead of you. . .a bright future, indeed.

See, your parents had enlisted you in the Jedi Academy under Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.

Yes, the Luke Skywalker.

You were but a youngling, no younger than nine years. You began finding out just what you were to become.

One day, after training, you met a shy boy with wavy ebony shoulder length hair, most of what hung in his eyes as he was standing alone, looking out into the horizon of the one of the temple's balconies.

You noticed him once before amongst the hundreds of other students but had never spoken to him. You quickly took note that he was one of the strongest in your training with Master Luke.

Anyone who sparred against him didn't stand a chance. Even you knew that there was a spark of something powerful in him.

He must have sensed you looking at him for he looked back at you with a wary expression.

You stopped walking any closer towards him. Both of your gazes were on one another as if you were both trying to figure each other out.

His eyes were like dark pools of black sunsets and ebony as you stood not even a foot from him. Somehow, they were drawing you in and you didn't know what that meant. . . yet.

There was something to this boy that you wanted to find hidden deep down inside of him. He was definitely a bit older than you. Maybe five years or so.

He flinched as you took barely a step more. Before you knew it, he bolted off towards his quarters.

You were left standing alone with nothing but the wind to keep you company. You felt it caress your hair like gentle whispers.

You watched as he left, leaving any spark between the two of you barren and gone. For a split second, you could've sworn you two were sharing the incredulous bond of the force.

He drew you to him and just like that he was gone. You wanted to run after him. You wanted to know what this sudden jolt of force was between the two of you and why it had suddenly happened when the two of you were alone.

"Young L/N, it is getting late, shouldn't you be getting to bed soon?" A voice echoed from behind you in the temple. It was Master Luke.

You snapped out of your trance-like state and nodded towards your Master. "Yes, Master Skywalker, I'll be on my way."

He smiled as you headed towards your own quarters and you took off down the flowery hill, sun just setting as the moon started rising.

The night was long and uneasy.

You couldn't force yourself to sleep one bit. Something just didn't feel right. Something definitely didn't feel right at all. You quickly got dressed and before you knew it screams filled the temple.

The screams were like nightmares. . .piercing, shrieking, hoarse screams that chilled you to the bone.

You grabbed your training saber and darted quickly out of your tent. What you saw made you nearly fall to your knees.

The Jedi temple that you knew, that you trained in everyday, was burning to the ground. The only possible assumption was that a Sith had done this.

Then, you felt it. A searing pain made you double over as you clenched your chest. Tears began to well up in your eyes. Then, you felt eyes on you.

You forced yourself to look up. You could've never imagined that he had done all that damage. But there he was standing right in front of you, lightsaber at your throat.

This was it. He was going to kill you. You could feel it deep down.

"P-please...don't do this..." You cried, looking into the same dark amber colored eyes just hours ago.

He had so much pain written on his face. You could feel it. You could feel what he felt. Suddenly, he dropped the saber.

Then, you felt nothing. It was as if the force had completely yielded between both of you.

You looked down at the saber and you knew. He had murdered everyone. Everyone except you. Before you could look back up, he'd already vanished like he was never even there at all.

You were left alone once more. Nothing could've prepared you for what had just happened now and earlier. You knew, that whatever force was pulling you two together, it would always and irrevocably be there. . . haunting you both towards different sides of the order.

That night was the only night you had ever even spoke to that boy.

That boy grew up to be Kylo Ren.
