I woke up by an evacuation, and I saw a lot of kids leaving. Andy was looking around traumatized, but once he saw me, he was coming for me. I rushed to him, and we finally hugged each other.
"What's happening?" I asked loudly from all the commotion.
"They're planning to bomb the school," he said grabbing my hand and pulling me to catch me up to everyone else. The next thing you hear is explosives going off, and RPG firing. Kids were screaming, and everything was going to quick for me to process. I saw smoke out the window, and I just thought there has to be something to be done. I let go of Andy's hand, and run off the other direction. "Avyanna!" I was trying to stop this all, but I just couldn't do it on my own. I took a glance at the window, seeing torches with signs. I looked around, and got a chair around next to me. I grabbed it, and threw it through the window. I looked out of it, but Andy pulled me back. "Avyanna, we got to go!"
"No! There is something to be done," I shouted back, but he wouldn't let go.
"There is not a chance of this! We can't fight this," he said simply with no hope into his expression.
"Well I'll die for the rights I want," I said pushing him off, and climbing off the window. There was a knife thrown at me, and it got my thigh. I reacted so bad, that I lost my grip, and fell on top of my stabbed leg. I heard everyone chanting a little chant which went as Mutants, must, die! I was getting surrounded by dozens of people, and I was getting really upset. "Enough!" I got up with a limping leg, but I got pushed down by a guy. He just looked at me with an evil grin, and he started to crawl on top of me. He was on my stomach, and his fist connected to my face. The sharp pain on my face did hurt as I held my face.
"Get off of her!" Andy's voice said as the guys weight was lifted off me. I sat up to see Andy beating the man up. I got up carefully, and Andy was now getting beat up.
"Andy!" I cried, and I just was regretting things now. I used my ability of air, and pushed him off pretty hard. He was around 5-10 feet away from Andy, so I made a spike border around Andy. Everyone just gasped in fear, and they finally stood quiet. "Why can't you leave us alone? What have we done to deserve this? Not cooperate with the government? Just because we are different in talents doesn't mean that's a reason to kill us because he are made with things you are. There is almost no difference with the physical image between us."
"We aren't going to be blinded my this girl. I mean look at her, she is not even bleeding like an average person," he insisted, but it sounded like he was stupid enough to say things he doesn't even know. I took out the knife that was inside my leg, and I aimed it at him.
"I'll show you what an average person bleeds like," I said lastly as I throw the knife as his calf. He fell in pain, and everyone started to group on me. I heard Andy teleport, and I found out that he used his only stamina to teleport me safe. I grabbed the water from the bushes, and I started healing him. I had to put him for since I love him. He means everything to me. The mob started coming toward us, but I made an air ball around me and Andy. I finished healing him, and he was good as new. I started healing myself, and it felt so good for a while. Once I was done, I used the air ball to pushed them away.
"You can't defeat us," a woman shouted.
"We can, but we just don't want to hurt you. We care for most of you guys," I snapped back.
"Prove it," they ordered, but I couldn't. Even though I had the power, I can't use it.
"I can't. My power is to strong, and I don't want to hurt you guys," I explain in shame. A man got out of the mob, and started walking around us.
"She is only trying to blind us with kindess, or she is just not a mutant. Probably a weak mutant," he whispered in my ear, but I turned to him. He looked straight at me, and gave me a threat during the connection.
"Belive me, I haven't used my whole power in 7 months. Without it, I can kill you all still, and I wouldn't do it. There is no point into it," I explained to him, but he pulled it out of me. He was trying to make me anger, so I could let loose.
"There is a point. You're just weak to show it to us," he hissed, but then Andy grabbed my hand.
"Don't let him get to you," he warned, but I guess he was the man was right.
"I won't," I assured him, but the man kept insulting me.
"Where are your other mutants? Are they dead or are they hiding? Are they cowards or are they weak like you?" he said as he went on.
"Andy," I looked at him, and I saw my red eyes as they reflect on his eyes.
"Calm down. He is the weak one. He won't leave you alone. He is not better than you," he whispered to me. He cupped my cheek in his hand, and looked at me deeply. It was interrupted as the man shoved me hard to the ground, and my head banged the floor once I was shoved. Anger boiled inside of me, but Andy calmed me down a bit.
"Are you going to do something about it now?" he asked as a threat, and I just had to give him what he deserved. I closed my eyes, and I felt the power inside me growing. I guess I should show him. I open my eyes to see him confused, but then he smirked with an evil expression of course. I put my hands forward, hands slightly slanted, and I just took a deep breath. I slowly brought my hands near my chest, and pushed forward with force. A strong came behind me, and pushed him far away from the crowd.
"I am like the wind. I can be so delicate, but I can also kill you," I explained, and the crowd was backing away from me. "No one is going to get hurt unless you do what the man did. I am a friend, but you better treat me like one." The next thing I see is that they keep firing from the other side. Andy hugged me tight, and teleported us to the side. I stopped the bullets, but they were adding more and more. It was making me get a headache, and I guess they started shooting at me. Out of nowhere Brent came in to shield us.
"Where have you guys been?" he asked.
"We've been trying to talk them out," I explained, but he squinted his eyes at me like I was stupid. "Sorry that I actually tried."
"You see that this is happening, and you still go try and talk? That's pretty brave though," Brent added.
"Thanks," I said, and I didn't know that we were surrounded. I turned around to see the mob that we were with were behind us.
"Andy, can you get us out of here?" Brent asked.
"To where?" Andy asked wrapping his arms around us.
"Inside the building," Brent answered, so Andy was working on it. You heard the sound of him teleporting, but he wasn't moving.
"Andy, what's wrong?" I asked.
"I can't teleport. Brent, how strong do you have your shield?" he asked.
"Strong enough that the bullets bounce back. Why?" he asked.
"The stronger you have it, the more I can't teleport as far. Can you make it a little weaker?" Andy asked.
"Do you want to die? They are using heavy machine gun ammo, so I need it to be as strong like this. The weaker I have it, the bullet might have a chance to come in," Brent explained.
"Shit!" Andy said in anger, but I knew he was getting a plan.
"This is all my fault. If I didn't do what I wanted to do, none of this would've happened. Sorry," I answered softly. The weird thing about Brent's shield is that you can go through it if you were inside, but I didn't know that. I was about to lean on the shield, but I went through. I thought if you can go through that you can go back in, but I was wrong. They now aimed at me, but I quickly made a 5 inch think rock wall. The bullets still made themselves invincible, so I knew now that I was going to be dead. I decided to use the metal ability, so I did. I was controlling it, but I was getting to carried away. I heard Andy calling my name faintly as the screams of citizens were covering Andy's voice. I couldn't stop until someone stopped me physically. After than a couple more screams, I felt someone's arms around me.
"It's okay! It's me, Andy! It's okay! They won't hurt you anymore if I am here! I'll protect you!" he was shouting in my ear for me to listen, so I did stop slowly. I fell on my knees, and I turned to fall on my back.
"She is weak!" a man yelled, and I heard something metal land next to me. I turned to see it was a grenade, and I was looking at it confused. I looked at Andy, but he was in the middle of a fight. So was Brent. I looked back at it, and it blow up 5 feet away from me. It still had a big explosion to slam me against the wall. I was still awake when I hit the wall, but I was like a dozen feet off the ground. Once I hit the ground, I blacked out.
