Chapter 22: One Last Stand

*Avyanna*

We made it with no sign with survivors besides him. He started there with his back faced at us, but I wished it would've stay like that. He had so much mutant power that he didn't look like mutant nor a human, but a vicious monster in comic books. I threw a dagger at his foot, but he shield it by using Brent's cell. He had the orange shield cover him from above ground, so I trapped him inside a rock suit to hold him. Bodies were weak on the floor, so we had to watch our step.
"You don't have to make yourself like this!" I shouted as he started tearing about the forest around him. He had Jean's power of telekinesis, and brought those trees towards us. I made them into water and turned the water into spikes. I remembered when I was getting possessed by one spirit, I was using my blood control ability, so I decided to use it at him. I closed my eyes to get myself in possessed mode. I started seeing things now in possessed mode. Ya! New upgrade! He started tearing the rock apart, and he grabbed the weapon from his pocket. Remember Brent's shield can make block everything from the outside, and not from the inside? Yeah, that's a big disadvantage in this situation. Luckily, he pulled the trigger, and nothing came out. Since he was a beginner, he need so much concentration to keep that shield strong for nothing big to come through. He was concerned about the gun not working, so I threw my spikes at him. One got him right throw his torso, one on his leg, and the last one on his hand. The shelf went down, so Andy teleported him to shoot him in his head. The effect of the formula would go a little late than what we need it to be, so I took out the spikes from him. He started regenerating his body with the formula through him. I added a couple more shots at him, and the last one was an odd. That's how you now it would work. I turned around to walk to Andy, but he gave disgusted looks behind me. I turn back to the guy to have him reforming himself. I shot him one more time, and he stopped for a while. I push myself into Andy, and he wrapped his arm around me. We were watching him transform to a gigantic digusting creature, that I don't even know how to describe it. Godzilla, weasel, rat, disgusting mutated skinless human? I look at the gun, and throw it at him.
"Avyanna, what's going on? Isn't he supposed to die?" Evelyn asked, but I couldn't answer her question.
"I don't know, but we have to stop him," I shouted climbing on to this tall tree. I was climbing up there so fast that I was up there within five seconds on this 10 feet tall tree. I grabbed my dagger and got ready for it. There was this branch that leaded me to his neck. I gave a smirk and stood on the branch. I started running to pounce on his neck. His reaction was quick that he smacked me before I got even closer. I slid on the rock leaving a dug slide mark. The pain that the landing gave me was unbearable that I laid there.
"Avyanna!" Andy called, but I started getting myself up little by little seeing him with a horrible wrinkled grin. I was standing my feet and looking the terrifying expression he had on his face. His fist was coming to land on me, so I dived to roll away. I threw a dagger to his face and climbing on his face. The dagger hit him in the eye, so he started shaking so much that I started loosing my grip. I grabbed on of my daggers, and stabbed his hand I grabbed on to him to get a handle to hold onto. I had two daggers, so I can climb myself by stabbing him. I stabbed his wrist making a horizontal line to reach his vain, but once I took my dagger out, he started regenerating. His eye did the same thing, so he started looking at me. He literally brushed me off as if I was a speck of dust. Andy teleported me safe, and he scanned me in case the Godzilla creature hurt me.
"I'm fine," I mumbled, and he looked back at the creature.
"What are we going to do?" Brandon asked panicking.
"Brandon, calm down. We can do this. We've been working on it with the gigantic robot," I explained, and Andy looked at me with a smirk. "Or..." I said as an idea just hit me.
"Or what?" Evelyn asked, and I couldn't wait. I got into my possessed mode, and I started controlling him. I brought him down, and I locked him with a rock suit and pulled him under the ground.
"Avyanna, what are you doing?" Brandon asked, and I wanted to give him a glare so bad.
"What do you think I'm doing, Brandon?" I growled sarcastically.
"Stop, Avyanna. You're going to far!" Andy yelled at me, but it wasn't enough for me.
"Stop her, Andy. He's not going to make it much longer," Brandon demanded, and Andy shook his head. I suddenly felt my body collapsing with the weight of Andy on mine. My head started to pound as if it was going to explode, and I felt like I was going to melt. I felt the salty tears boiling on my skin, and my body was hurting and aching badly. I looked at the creature, and he was hardly even breathing. He was looking at me anyway.
"What's happening?" Evelyn asked, but Andy had no answer.
"Andy, why is she acting this way?" Brandon asked, but no response. The black ancient markings on my skin showed up with none of us knowing what it meant. I couldn't stand up without the pain bringing me down, but something did just stood me up. I looked at myself with Andy's reflecting eyes and saw the color of my eyes were now red and glowing. I was being controlled, but the question was from what? I was pulled to my knees, and I felt my energy being sucked out of me. I then noticed the creature absorbing my power, but how?! This white as snow spirit and a pitch black spirit were pulled out of me. The pain found an end as the spirits were sucked into the creature.
"Avyanna, what happened?" Evelyn asked, but I was too weak to move myself up. She rolled me over, and laid me down into her arms. I glared at Andy, but he gave me puppy eyes that were filled with guilt.
"He took my spirits out of me. I can't do anything anymore," I answered, and everyone's expression turned worried.
"We have to get you somewhere safe," Brandon said as he started carrying me. The monster started to free itself out of the trap I had it in and started following us. He used the light spirit to trip Brandon and the others. He dropped me, and I rolled down the hill into the stream.
"Avyanna," I heard Andy cry, but I knew this was the end of all of us.

*Andy*

Evelyn stood there trying to hypnotize him, but it wasn't working. Me and Brandon started running to the opposite direction that Avyanna went, so she would be safe. Instead, that's who he wanted to kill first. I wanted to keep her safe, so I teleported him to the atmosphere. Brandon was looking for her, but she wasn't there. He had my power and teleported safely. The smirk on his face gave me never ending goosebumps.

We tried out best, but we were on our last breathes. We were scattered all over the dirt, weak and helpless. He got Evelyn and Brandon first, and he was going to kill them. He slammed them down to the floor and was ready to make them into a splatter mess. He teleported to a good height that wouldn't hurt him, but a shot with so much power shot him far away from Evelyn and Brandon. I turned to the direction it came from, and Avyanna just came crumbling down. I crawled to her, but she was trying to stand up again. She saw me, and helped me too. We helped each other to walked, and we walked to Evelyn and Brandon. They were knocked out cold out, so we looked at the creature. He was back to normal. The spirits came out of him and attacked Avyanna. She was thrown to the ground, and then she started floating. She came back softly, and back to normal too. She laid me down with the guys while she got all the water from the trees to heal us all. We got up, and I hugged her tightly with tears of joy.
"You saved us. You did it," I said snaking my hands around her waist as hers went around my neck. The guys just made it to a group hug, and we went back to the guy. He was dead since he was infested with so many different cells. The guys started standing up and started cheering.
"Whoo!" they cheered, and they pick all four of us to crowd surf. She was laughing as her eyes sparkled like they were new. Her smile lit the whole forest as her cheeks turn to light shades of pink. She looks at me with a smirk, and then falls as the crowd surfing ends. I gasp, but she pops up giggling at herself. I got to the end of the crowd surfing, and I land right next to her. I grab her hand, and I took her to stroll around the forest. We walked to the stream, and luckily, the moon starts shining bright. She stops me and starts rubbing her hands on my chest.
"Why?" she asks, and she starts sliding her hands around my neck. I grab her waist and pull her close.
"Why what?" I ask back, and she just smirks at me.
"Why do you have sympathy with so many people?" she asked as she pulled my closer. Our bodies touched, and I started to rub her waist.
"I don't have sympathy. I just want people to get a second chance," I answered, and she just sighs.
"That can get you in trouble," she answered as her fingers ran through my hair. She's being so seductive with me, and it wasn't like before.
"Why are you acting like this?" I ask, but she just pulled out foreheads to touch.
"I don't know. You don't get the hint?" she ask softly, and that's how it got dirty :|
