"(Y/N)?" Dad said through gritted teeth, "Aren't you supposed to be at Vinnie's?"
"Well, you see,... Vinnie had, um, homework, so I uh, just came here?" My voice raised a couple of octaves.
"You should have had Happy come get you." He responded.
"(Y/N)? Who is it?" May poked her head out and saw my father, "Oh, Peter! The door is for you! Peter has a Stark internship, so Tony is here for him, unless you're on bad terms with the avengers." She joked to me.
I stepped out of the way of May, as Peter came into view., "Hi Mr. Stark. What do you need?"
"To speak with you, Parker." He paused, "Alone."
Tony follows Peter to his room.
They were in there for about five minutes before I see the two of the emerge from Peter's bedroom. Peter looked fine but my dad looked about ready to punch someone. Without a word to May or I, my dad left.
"(Y/N), can you come here?" I hear Peter shout from his room.
"Are you fully dressed?" I reply walking down the hallway.
"You better be!" May yelled from the kitchen.
I arrive at his room door. It was closed so I knocked.
"Come in." Peter said. He sounded like he was rushing all around his room.
I open the door, and he was indeed rushing around the room, but he was cleaning.
I sit on his bed. "Peter what are you doing?"
he didn't respond. He didn't even look up.
"Peter."
Nothing.
"Peter."
Still nothing.
"Peter Benjamin Parker!"
"Yes?" He still didn't look up though.
"Sit next to me, I don't care what your room looks like, just sit down."
"Okay," He grumbles."So homecoming is next Friday, right?" I ask.
"Yes." He says.
"My job is to help you ask Liz to the dance, right?"
He nods.
"First off, girls like it when guys are straight forward."
"Really?"
"Yeah. If a guy likes a girl, he should tell her. You like Liz so you should tell her." I nudge him.
"I don't think it works like that."
"Oh? Why?"
"What if she doesn't like me?"
"Peter, no 'what ifs', okay? If you spend your life worrying about 'what ifs' you won't be able to enjoy what's happening today."
"Wow, with a quote like that you could be an inspirational speaker."
"Why thank you."
My phone starts to ring, I pull it out and see my father's face on the screen. My eyes widen.
"(Y/N)? What's wrong?"
"N-nothing. I, um, I've got to take this."
I step out of the room, "Hello?"
"(Y/N), get home, now!" Dad says.
"I'm a little busy at the moment."
"What-" Dad is cut off by Wanda and Natasha.
"Too busy flirting with Peter?" Wanda teases.
"Why would I flirt with Peter?" My face heats up.
"Cause you think he's cute." Nat chimes in.
"Do not!" I say.
"So you don't find him attractive, not even in the slightest?"
"Pssh! No! Yes? It doesn't matter what I think!" I say, "He likes someone else. End of story!"
