"Our lesson for today is: Don't miss any opportunities." I say.
Confusion filled Peter's eyes, "I-I don't understand."
"So let's say that Liz is crying, what do you do?" I ask.
"Panic." He replied flatly.
"Really?" I asked.
"Hug her?" He answered, but it sounded more like a question.
"No," I paused, "You ask if she wants a hug, then if she says, 'yes' then you can hug her, otherwise you will look like a creep who just wants her number."
Peter raised his hands in defeat, "Woah, okay. Are you sure?" I nodded. "But, what does that have to do with opportunities?"
"Everything-" My phone cut me off, it was an alarm for me to finish me homework, but it was all finished, so I turned it off.
"What was that for?" Peter questioned.
"Oh, just an alarm for homework."
"Speaking of homework, can I finish it, during your lesson on opportunities?"
I sighed and nodded.
Peter turned around pulling his backpack close, he pulled out a textbook, a notebook, and a folder. While he wasn't looking my phone went off, again. It was my ringtone for Vinnie. My ringtone for Vinnie was made just after we met, we were messing around and she recorded me saying, in a very bad Indian accent, "Do you like it when I call you Darth Vader?" Then I proceeded to growl. (She rolled her 'r's.) Vinnie was trying to Face Time me.
Peter looked up, slightly red in the nose and cheeks, "What? I-I mean I'm more of a Han Solo guy myself-"
I cut him off, "Oh yeah, well, you will be Solo if you don't trust me as your wing-woman."
Peter and I laughed at the joke, "Who is it?" Peter asked.
"Vinnie." I answered her.
"Hey!" Her face appeared on screen, "I just got off the phone with you dad, he seemed very upset. Something about a boy..." She trailed off.
"Yeah," I responded, not really caring.
"Are you still with him?" I already knew where she was going with this.
"Yes, yes I am."
"Oo! Can I meet him?"
I flipped the camera around so she could see Peter, "Hi." He waved.
"Aww, he's cute! Isn't he cute(Y/N)?" She cooed.
Peter started to go red, I don't think that many people called him cute. Which should happen more because, well, he is. "Vinnie you know he can hear you right?" I asked.
"Oh, and I bet he knows he cute!" She ignored me. I flipped the camera around again, as Vinnie kept talking, "You know, you two would make a cute cou-"
I cut her off, "And your done. Bye!" I hung up, not even waiting for a response, "Sorry about that."Peter and I continued until I felt I had taken up too much of his day. So I called Happy to come get me. Peter insisted to walk me to my car.
I hugged Peter before opening the door, "Bye!"
"Bye!" He responded closing my door for me.
As Happy started to drive away Peter and I waved to each other one last time. I have a week and a half to help him get Liz, oh boy!
---Time Skip To When She Walks Into Stark Tower---
I walked in through the front doors, "Hello, Ms. Stark your father is waiting in the kitchen for you." Friday echoed through the empty halls.
"Okay, thanks Friday!" I say.
After a short elevator ride, I opened the doors to the kitchen.
Dad was behind the breakfast bar and Vinnie and her mom were sitting on the stools in front of it.
"What's up?" I asked, last time I saw Vinnie's mom was when Vinnie's dad past away, and Vinnie had to stay here for a few months.
"There's the little troublemaker." Vinnie gave me a sly smile.
I waved, "What's up Mrs. E (Ericson)?"
"Vinnie has some fantasic news for you?" My father said, he was making four sandwiches.
Vinnie turned around on the stool to face me, "I am now a new student at Midtown High!"
I stood there in shock, she was moving into my school. Wait, she's moving into my school, "Really?!" I hugged her, "That's amazing!"
"The only reason I'm going, is to meet this boy." She smirked.
My dad clenched his jaw, "Peter?"
I grabbed Vinnie's arm and pulled her to my room, it's been at least a month since we last talked in person. Which was sad, but we both understood how busy the other was.
Vinnie plopped down on my bed, "So," she stretched out the word, "What do you want to talk about?"
I closed my bedroom door, "Don't talk to my father about Peter!"
She shrugged her shoulders, "I did nothing wrong."
"Yes you did," My face was pink, "Dad already doesn't like Peter!"
"Wait," Her happy face morphed into a serious one, "You dad knows Peter?"
"Yes!"
"Well, how?" She placed her elbow on her thigh and her face on her fist, she was intrigued.
"Peter is apparently one of his interns!"
"Oh, I see your dilema." She paused before changing the subject slightly, "You and Peter would be a cute couple."
I had just sat down in an office chair I moved in front of the bed, "What?!"
"Yeah, you two have some serious chemistry! And your a good hight for him and-" I cut her off.
"No, no, no, no," My words ran together, "Vinnie, I am his wing-woman, I'm not supposed to mess with his love-life!" I paused to correct myself, "By inserting myself into his love-life!"Vinnie was about to rebuttal when her mom called for her, "Vinnie, honey, we have to go!" She shouted.
Vinnie hugged me, "I'll see on my first day of school, I'm getting a ride with you! Love you, bye!" She ran out of my bedroom door.
I flopped on my bed, And what an eventful first day it will be. For both of us. I thought before standing up once more to get ready for bed and soon fall asleep.
