I walked into Midtown the next day, looking for Peter, Ned,  and Vinnie.

I spotted Peter and Ned next to our lockers, but for some reason Vinnie wasn't with them. Ned stepped back a little to let me easily slide between the two boys to get to my locker.

I pulled out two textbooks, one for Calculus and the other for English, out of my backpack before putting my backpack into the locker. I felt a tap on my  shoulder. Pulling one of my airpods out of my ear, I turned to see who it was.  It was Peter.

"Hey, I was wondering when the next tutoring sessions was?" He asked.

"When do you want it to be?" I emphasized that it was his choice.

"I mean the dance is this Saturday so," He trailed off.

"Are you available after school at six or seven-ish?" I asked.

"I mean, I should be?" He replied more as a question.

I raised my eyebrows to tell him to give me a more solid answer.

"Yeah. Seven-" He cut himself off, "At my apartment?"

I nodded, "That works for me."

Changing subjects I asked, "Where's Vinnie?"

Ned shrugged, "I don't know where she is now but we saw when we got here."

"Yeah she was talking to some jock-looking guy." Peter added.

"She looked pissed." Ned finished.

"On a scale of one to ten?"

Peter tilted his head and looked up, thinking.

"Definitely eleven." Ned responded.

Peter looked down from the ceiling, wide-eyed, as he slowly nodded, "She looked ready to kill that kid."

The bell rang. I said goodbye to Ned and Peter before running off to Calculus to talk to Vinnie and see what had happened this morning.

As I turned into the math hall, I saw him.

*FLASHBACK*

I was washing the dishes when I felt his arms around my waist.

"Oh come on, let loose." He said as he began to sway me from behind.

I turned around and pushed him away, "Not even in your dreams."

He squinted, "Oh really?" He grabbed my belt loops that were on my jeans and pulled me closer, when my dad walked in the room.

He coughed, "Hands off Armani." He was stern as he sipped his coffee.

He took his hands back immediately.

He glanced at his watch, "I should get going, it's getting late."

I nodded putting the last plate onto the drying rack.

"Walk me out?" He asked.

To which I nodded.

As I walked to the door he went on telling me about his day.

When we reached the door I opened it before giving him a hug.

He pulled me outside into the crisp New York air.

"Bye." I said softly.

"Who says this was time for us to part yet?" He picked me up slightly.

"My dad, silly." I giggled, "Oh, I almost forgot." I said leaning into the doorway grabbing my backpack and pulling out a well-worded four page essay.

He took it with a smirk, "I love having a smartie-pants girlfriend."

I gave him another hug and when we pulled away. My arms still around his neck, I began to pull him to my eye level, slowly.

He stopped short, still about 2 inches from my face, "I really should go."

With that he left.

(2 Months Later)

I walked up his driveway and knocked onto his door.

His older brother opened the door.

"In the garage." He said opening the door to let me in.

I went to his garage and knocked before walking in to see another girl on top of him.

I gasped.

"Oh, don't be so surprised sweetheart," He said. I didn't see my boyfriend, my sweet and loving boyfriend.

"I don't under-" I started.

The girl cut me off, "You know for being so smart you are so stupid." She got off and walked passed me, hitting my shoulder with hers making my backpack fall to the ground.

He looked at me in the eye and said, "You know I'm glad you found out."

"Excuse me?" I asked.

"Finally I can be done being your boyfriend." He sighed, sounding like he just had the most stressful day and he'd finally gotten some time to himself, "You'd think that the daughter of Tony Stark would be cool. But no. Smart, yes. Hot? You betcha. But fun to be around? Cool? No. She's the most boring person you'd ever meet."

"Stop it." I mumbled.

But he kept going, "Naive too. Like, damn. How could you not tell that I didn't like you. That you were nothing to me but an A in all of my classes."

"Shut up." I spoke a little louder.

He stood up and began walking towards me, "What are you gonna do about it? Huh? Cry to your father? Go on, do it. He'll stand up for you."

He walked towards me and I walked back, that was, until I hit the garage wall.

"I'm not scared of you." I said, my voice breaking, proving me wrong.

He hunched down to my eye level, "Really?"

He put both of his arms on either side of my head and leaned forward. My eyes got water with fear as I was frozen. He got closer to me. His lips brushed against my cheek, but not in a kiss he kept moving.

He stopped at my ear, "Maybe you should be." He said softly, just to me.

He slammed both of his hands on the wall behind me. Startling me as he left the room.

I scurried out of his house before he came back.

I opened the front door, I slid down the door and collapsed on my knees. Tears fell freely.

"Hey, kid-" Dad started, then he saw me, "Hey, hey, hey, it's alright. You're okay. I've got you."

Those words were all I heard as I drifted off into a deep sleep.

*FLASHBACK END*

"Zach is here." I said sitting next to Vinnie.

"I know." She growled, "He's dead."

(Time Skip to the end of the school day)

Vinnie and I were silent as we walked to my locker to collect all of my things at the end of the day.

"Are you okay?" Peter asked brushing my shoulder with his to get my attention.

I started to nod when something down the hall made me freeze. It was him. He was actually here, not just in my head. It wasn't some delusion that my mind came up with to torture me.

I swallowed, he made eye contact with me and was now walking towards me.

"Are you sure?" Peter asked again, for some reason he had sounded muffled, almost as if he was underwater.

"Shit." Vinnie and I said at the same time.
