Cease Fire

On the planet of Weytahn, or Paan Mokar, heavy fights had broken out between Vulcans and Andorians. On both sides, there were wounded, dead, and war prisoners.

Flashes of weapons fire broke the dark of night.

Blue and green laser shots were fired in different parts or the city.

At the Andorian command post, Commander Shran watched as a wounded man was brought in to see a healer.

"The Imperial Guard will die at their posts." the Andorian Lieutenant grumbled.

"I've received a communique. The Vulcans want to discuss terms for a cease fire." Shran said.

This got the woman angry. "Have you ever known a Vulcan who wouldn't lie to get what he wanted?"

"The one to resolve this crisis won't be a Vulcan, but someone I've dealt with before. A pinkskin. He's proven to be quite even-handed in dealing with Vulcans. His name is Archer."

"And this is the best you've got?" and the Lieutenant stormed away.

"This is her usual behavior?" the other Andorian female in the room asked. This woman's skin was a lighter blue than any of the other Andorians had. Also, her hair was platinum instead of white. Then again, she was no full-blooded Andorian, but a half-blood.

"She's often like this." The Commander commented.

The pitch black eyes were still directed in the direction where the lieutenant had disappeared. "Her emotions are bitter. She truly believes that Andoria should have this settlement."

"Some just don't want to deal with politics."

"It's not just that, Commander. Tarah's considering something that could potentially be very dangerous to both the Andorian race and the Vulcan species."

"What!?"

"I'm only getting an impression." and the second woman looked down upon the child in her arms.

The child had her black eyes, and even a lighter blue skin color that was close near aquamarine since small bits of green were present.

Shran stepped closer. "How much longer are you going to hide that your daughter is one eight Vulcan?" it was spoken in a whisper.

"He will be here soon, I can feel his presence coming toward us."

"He better be."

"Why would Ambassador Soval request my presence to resolve a crisis?" after his talk to Admiral Forrest, Captain Archer sat in his ready room with the two Vulcan officers aboard.

T'Pol was dressed in her usual grey catsuit, Velekh once again wore the uniform of a First Officer since Archer didn't have an official First Officer. T'Pol and Tucker had acted as First Officer before, but they didn't hold the position.

"It is a century old conflict, and you have proven to be open minded enough. Dealing with Andorians and Vulcans asks patience and strength, which you apparently have." the male Vulcan told. "The conflict has quite escalated this time, as it is on the frontier of their systems. War has threatened twice."

"Let's hope this goes well."

"We both have the confidence everything will be alright." the science officer said.

"Unbelievable! I damn near burn up the warp reactor getting here, and they make us wait." The chief engineer murmured as he left the conference room.
