The party, which Archer had comically dubbed as 'the fellowship of the Kir'Shara', were travelling through rocky formations that looked like tunnels.
"We've sent word to the Syrrannites in the mountains. They'll care for the wounded." T'Pau told.
"How far to the capital?" Jon asked.
"Two days."
Soval looked up to the sky. "I don't believe the Sanctuary would've been attacked had Enterprise stayed in orbit. They must be gone."
"And Velekh will have his reasons. We have a more important mission. We've to get this to the capital."

Enterprise arrived at a pretty blue nebula with stars in it.
"Oh my, Starfleet scientists would have a field day here." Reed commented. "It's beautiful!"
"Open a channel." Hvaid ordered.
Hoshi turned around and frowned. "To who?"
"The nebula." and he waited for the Ensign to open the frequencies. "This is Acting Captain Velekh of the SS Enterprise. I have come on an urgent mission. I must speak with Commander Shran. We have got some information for you."
"Sir." Travis warned as three Andorian ships appeared on the view screen.
"We're being hailed." Sato said.
On the screen, Commander Shran appeared.
"Commander Velekh, permission to board?"

"An invasion?" Shran sounded particular angry about it. "We keep a very close eye on your fleet. We would know if the High Command were preparing to attack."
"Administrator V'Las has been assembling ships near Regulus, beyond the range of your listening stations. I am aware what you might think, but they were apparently told you are adapting Xindi weaponry and that you're planning to use it against Vulcan."
"That's absurd! Captain Archer destroyed the Xindi prototype before we could examine it." the Andorian shouted.
Hvaid tilted his head. "That fact was conveniently omitted."
"How do you know this?" the Commander asked.
There was a long silence in the conference room, awkward to the human bystanders Reed and Tucker. This went on until the half-Romulan finally replied: "I am from the year 2320. I know my history on the wars between Andoria and Vulcan. I believe I know what is about to happen."
"If you're wrong, I'm taking your head off!"
"An acceptable threat."

Back on Vulcan, the three of them took shelter beneath a rock formation as another aircraft passed overhead.
Archer needed rest, and was sleeping in the shadows.
"That's the fourth patrol today. There's an extensive security grid around the capital. It's unlikely we'll get past it." Soval commented.
"We'll find a way. Surak will help us. How did you come to marry a human?" T'Pau asked.
The Ambassador looked to the ground. "Somehow, I have always felt a pull towards him. Yet after the death of my wife, I couldn't resist it too long. I fell in love with him, with his ways, his underlying grace, his open mind. I still do."
