"This new data should help us map the anomalies more accurately. I should also be able to calculate the exact number of Spheres in the Expanse." T'Pol said, looking at all the data coming in from shuttle pod 1 that Travis and Tucker had gathered.

"Any new theories on their purpose?" Archer asked.

The Vulcan woman shook her head. "Not yet."

The intercom sounded. "Bridge to Captain Archer." it was Lieutenant Reed.

"Archer here." the man replied.

"We've picked up a vessel approaching at impulse. They're transmitting a distress signal. They're trapped in a cluster of anomalies. They've taken engine damage."

"How many bio signs?" the First Officer asked.

"I'm reading... twenty three." Malcolm told.

"Miss Sato, open the hailing frequencies. This is Commander Velekh of the starship Enterprise. Can we assist you?"

There was a response. "Enterprise, we've suffered heavy damage. Our engines are inoperative, our life support system is failing. Please assist us."

"Weaponry?"

"Minimal."

"Mister Mayweather, is there a safe course through the anomalies?"

The dark skinned helmsman nodded slightly. "I believe that's possible. Full impulse?"

"Do that. Mister Reed, take full precautions when we reach the stricken ship. None should be armed or come anywhere near weaponry."

"Aye sir!"

The ship was docked with Enterprise, small compared to the Earth vessel. All of them were rushed to sickbay.

The Captain waddled into the medical ward. His pregnant belly was now more prominent. He saw all medical staff busy with the aliens. "How are they?"

"I'm unable to perform detailed bioscans." the Denobulan replied.

Jonathan pulled a face. "Why?"

"They have an aversion to any kind of invasive medical care, for religious reasons. However, I have managed to ascertain that aside from some minor injuries and one slight case of malnutrition, they appear to be fine." the Doctor replied.

There was a ticking on the Captain's shoulder, so he turned around.

It was Velekh. "I need to speak with you, it's quite a pressing matter."

The blonde nodded. "I'll be back." And he followed his XO to the corridor.

"These people we brought aboard will soon threaten us." the part-Vulcan stated.

"How so?"

"They're on a religious warpath. Especially the man who is their Pri'Nam is dangerous. He's a power hungry man who says it's in the name of religion." Velekh told.

"In human terms... they're still stuck in in the middle ages of religion?"

"Precisely. I have already ordered all security officers to take precautions, none of them should be alone and various objects shall be taken from them. I know it's an invasion of privacy, but you don't want a religious war over your head."
