After his very 'interesting' conversation with the boys, Pete sat outside Stellar's room researching wedding things on his phone for about an hour before Stellar was wheeled back in. Unfortunately her parents still happened to be
there when he entered the familiar room once again, and he cursed under his breath several times whilst building up the courage to pop the question. Being the stupid guy he was, he managed to block out what most of the doctor said, save for the last part.

"—she may never speak again. We honestly do not know, it could be for a few days, to a few months to even a few years. It really is just something we can't fix. "

Pete's face dropped. He couldn't imagine what it'd be like to not be able to speak at all. Not be able to sing. Not be to say I love you. He thinks he'd probably die. Pete cleared his own throat. "Can I have a few minutes, alone, with Stellar please?"

"Of course. I'll take Mr and Mrs Michael's to sign the discharge papers. She's all ready to go."

They watched as the doctor escorted them out of the room, before Pete closed the door and ran back to Stellar's bedside, lacing his fingers with her more delicate ones. She looked like she wanted to cry as he smoothed the hair back from her face, staring directly into her eyes. "Baby, it's gonna be alright. I'm not gonna let them hurt you. Now me and the guys, we had an idea. Its extremely crazy, and it's gonna take a little time but I can't bare the thought of you being near those bastards and all that so, just, OK, hear me out.

"I know we've only known each other probably not even a year, and we've been dating not even a fraction of that, and god this is crazy, but you know I am absolutely in love with you, and I'd hoped to do this maybe sometime in the future, but now is better a time as any and I guess what I'm saying is, Stellar Michaels, will you marry me?"

Pete peeked up at her from where he'd been down on one knee with his eyes squeezed shut, trying to gauge her reaction. She just stared unbelievingly back at him, mouth agape and hands sweating.

"I know its too soon, and not very romantic, but we can have the wedding later, when you're ready, or as much as I'd hate it, you can divorce me or something if you want.  Just think about it peaches, if we were married they can't come near you. You don't have to stay with them. "

Stellar bit her lip. It was crazy. But it was a lot less crazy of an idea compared to the real crazy she'd have to endure. To her, it was a no brainer. Stellar nodded vigorously, holding her arms out to Pete who literally jumped onto her, kissing her face all over like an excited puppy. "You won't regret it, I promise to be the best husband ever. I'll even bake you a cake everyday even though I can't cook." Stellar shook her head, making a gagging face. Pete giggled. "Fine, I won't. But as soon as you leave here, I'll be on the phone to my lawyer and sort the paperwork out, so you can be outta there in no time. And hey, if it takes too long, I guess me and the guys'll have to go with plan B and go all out ninja and break you outta there."

Stellar smiled softly down at Pete who lay next to her looking adoringly up at her face, and as she stroked the side of his cheek, her smile quickly fell as the door reopened and hell was ready to begin. "Time to go, Ms Michaels—"

"It's actually soon to be Mrs Wentz. So get used to it." Pete sat up. "I wouldn't be worried with making her too comfortable, after all, we'll be married as soon as possible. "

The doctor rolled his eyes and walked out, leaving them alone with her parents. "Is that...so? Well, I'm sure the paperwork will take a few weeks at least–"

"I'm a rock star, I'm sure with the right amount of money I could get it done in a few days, if not hours."

Stellar's mother sneered, dark eyes staring them down unnervingly. "Well then I guess we'll have to make the most of little Stellar's stay. We're going to have to make up for lost time, aren't we sweetie?"

Well, then.

Just letting you know, I have no idea how the medical or marital system works. And I'm too lazy to find out. So any comments would be appreciated! 😂📃
