John put a Santa hat on my face and I laughed, "Dinner time?" I asked and he nodded quickly. I pulled my hair into a ponytail, "Okay, ready." We were currently at dad's for Christmas and had arranged a dinner with everybody to celebrate.

"Yeet!" John ran away before I could yell at him for that. I threw on my shoes and then raced downstairs after him. In the living room, I found everybody else, Angelica setting a cake she and Theo baked on the table.

I looked around and grinned, I loved my friends and my family. Honestly, there couldn't be a better Christmas than with them, "Sup?"

"Bah!" We burst into laughter and I bounced over and picked Susan up from Peggy, bouncing her and grinning. She smacked my face and I laughed before setting her on the ground so she could crawl around. She had learned how to crawl earlier this month and she could pull herself up to stand while clinging to something, she was getting so mobile.

"Guys," Tori ran over and held her phone up, "There's anime about Aladdin! There's a lot! I'm fucking obsessed. They're basically all called Magi animes and shit. It's fucking amazing. Y'all have to watch it."

"Uh..." Eliza walked over and poked the screen, "Purple hair guy is my favorite but I forgot his name. I haven't watched it since last year." She said.

Tori turned the screen around to look at it before asking, "You forgot Sinbad? How the fuck do you forget Sinbad? The name of one of the Magis is Adventures of Sinbad so how the actual fuck?" Eliza just laughed for her answer.

"Nerdiness aside," Nathan said and went to the TV, pressing play. I saw 'Santa Clause' flash across the screen just as Angelica put some ambient Christmas music on.

"And we have these!" Maria held a top hat, "I wrote everybody's name in them and we'll draw them and that'll be our Secret Santa, okay?" She smiled happily, "And we'll give those Secret Santa gifts out on New Years because...it's Christmas today. Make sense?"

We all chimed our agreement instantly. Maria went around and we got our names, honestly, I had never really talked to her since we moved into the college but she and Peggy are a thing and I know Peggy so I trusted Maria. When the hat got to me I pulled a paper out and opened it, Maria. Huh. I had no idea what to get her.

I put the paper in my pocket and decided I needed to find out more about Maria through this party so I'd know what to get her. We sat down for dinner and I made sure John and I sat opposite Maria and Peggy though that meant we had to sit near the end because Maria wanted to be near Susan and she needed a highchair.

"So how'd you two meet?" I asked after we had all grabbed our food. I tried to make sure it looked like I was talking to Peggy but I was still just trying to find out more about Maria of course.

Peggy looked at Maria who smiled so she turned back and said, "Well we actually met in middle school." She said, "We were sort of friends but it wasn't like close friends for awhile. We met in a hallway because she was hungry and so I gave her a pop tart." She looked at Maria again, "I didn't think I'd get a girlfriend and a baby out of that."

"Bah!" Susan added and smacked her highchair tray making mashed potatoes smack onto her face. She blinked before whining about the potatoes.

We laughed and Peggy cleaned her face slowly, "She's a messy baby who hates messes." She mumbled before she could sit down again, "Honestly it's kind of exhausting." She laughed again and looked at Susan who had a bottle in her mouth.

"I told you!" Angelica yelled before laughing, her cheeks were already tinting with the alcohol. I looked at her and she pointed at Peggy, "Babies are the most exhausting creatures in the world! Aside from cats. Fucking cats." She put some turkey in her mouth after she said that.
