The Nightmare Before Christmas

Jingle bells
Joyous yells
Time to wine and dine
Carols play
What a day
Only time will tell

The bells are chiming
People are laughing but I can't hear a sound
All there smiling faces
So happy
So carefree
I smile with them
My green sleeves are now green and red for Christmas
It is a special occasion
Boxes full of happiness
Covered in raping paper made of new year hope
I tear the paper hope apart
Such fragile hope
In peace's on the floor
Soon to be thrown away with the rest of the broken dreams
I open my box of joy
But all I find is...
Nothing
My family laugh
I laugh to
Red metallic tears streaming down my cheeks
From my arms
From my sides
Staining the green of my shirt red
It is a special occasion
Boxes more boxes
Handing out boxes of happiness
There smiles grow brighter
Cracks open in my skin
But nobody sees them
My smiles to big to bright
To fake
Happiness spills out of there boxes
Fulfilling them
But what I see in my boxes?
Empty trinkets
After all
Money can't buy happiness
