Smile with the Stars and the Rain

It's been a long time since I went to sleep smiling
I herd this song that really spoke to me
Just like you did
It snapped me back to reality
I know now
I've been so silly
Your right there but I was to blind to see you
My eyes where filled with broken glass
Through it I saw only the suffering so I built a world of my own
Where everything is perfect
So I didn't have to look through the red tinted glass at the world I didn't what to see
I wasn't till you came along that you wiped the blood out of my eyes
You made me feel a way I could never explain
Like my heart was a lighting rod
But the lightning didn't come for the clouds above
It came from a place inside of me that I didn't know existed
But one I'd been looking for
Blind with excitement I highlighted my senses
Unwillingly
I could see a bit clearer
You created lightning strikes at my feet
Every time one hit the black charcoal ground a glowing beacon of pure light appears
I followed them
One by one
But they only lasted so long
When the darkness swallowed me my fears overcame me
Whispering in my ears
I became afraid
Paranoid
I became scared that I would lose you
Even though you weren't going anywhere
So I heightened my imagination
Imagining you
But not you
A fantom of you that I had created
Not evil
Not melishes
But unintentionally misleading
I started overthinking
You should be doing this
You should be doing that
But I was wrong
You aren't some hero come to save me from the darkness
You aren't some perfect saint
Your just you
And that's what I love about you
If you were perfect I wouldn't love you so
Because you wouldn't be you
You led the way
You still do
But I can't rely on you forever
No one can remove the glass from your eyes
No one can stop the bleeding or the pleading of a screaming heart
They can only help
First you need to see the colours yourself
Even if it's only a small sparkle they somehow helped you find
You need to stop seeing the world in black and white
Someone might help you release that
But only you can remove the blood covered glass from your eyes
So your eyes can finally sparkle
Sparkle with all the colours of the rainbow
Sometimes clouds will cover the sun and the rain will pour down on you
But you don't run to find shelter
You dance in the storm
Embrace the lightning in your heart
Let the rain fall on your face every drop on your skin reminding you that your human
And let the rain fall from your eyes wile you sing with the music of each glistening tear
That hits the earth at your feet
The sparkling drops around your piter pattering on the ground reminds you that your not alone cause the rain is all around you
Throw away your umbrella for your only really alone when you don't let the drops near you
Cause your tears are the only ones that hit the ground at you feet
But even so the wind will blow and the rain will find you
Cause your never truly alone
Cause even when night comes and all seems dark
